- 1. Dear Sir or Madam, We were fortunate to have Mustafa as an intern in our team. Mustafa was so eager to learn and the first few days of his internship were slow, since we did not know what to assign him. He finished each assignment with a speed an accuracy that we did not expect. He had a positive attitude and was never afraid to come up and ask for more assignments when he had finished. He was able to solve all Java development tasks assigned to him, one of which became his main project. It was a problem that we had run into that involved PDF’s filled with data that could not be accessed, edited, or compared. Mustafa fixed this issue by creating a Java tool that converted PDF’s into a CSV format, which allowed us to use the CSV’s and compare them. We had only asked him to make a local file for the employees but he went above and beyond by creating a web accessible tool, using his HTML and JavaScript skills, which allowed you to upload a file and download the converted CSV file. He was unafraid to ask for help whenever he needed it. He has gained an insight into the world of development where much of it is learned on the job as you encounter more and more problems. He has also learned about many of the tools that are heavily used in development world, such as Maven or MVC Frameworks. I believe he has also gained confidence in his abilities to figure things out independently, he grew from asking almost every hour for help to only asking when there was absolutely no answer online or by any of his peers.
