This document discusses a study that aims to investigate the effects of using documentary videos with English and Malay subtitles on listening comprehension skills of Diploma students in UiTM. The study seeks to determine if documentary videos can help improve listening skills and if different speaker dialects affect performance. A quantitative approach using a pre-test, post-test design with questionnaires and tests will be used to collect data from a random sample of first semester Diploma students taking an ELC120 course, excluding repeats.
