This document outlines a presentation given by Mike Rustici of Watershed and Todd Tauber of Degreed on rethinking learning and development ecosystems. It discusses how modern learners need diverse learning solutions. Traditional learning and development is not obsolete but incomplete. Higher impact organizations invest in on-the-job experiences and collaboration over traditional classroom learning. When writing requests for proposals, organizations should consider requirements that focus on learner experience, integration of different learning activities, and performance insights across systems. Example RFPs at different levels of innovation were provided.
