 Islam is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion teaching that
Muhammad is messenger of god.

KHADIJAH.
 SHAHADA: There is only one god or Allah and Muhammad is
the prophet of Allah.
 SALAT: Every Muslim must offer prayers (namaz) 5 times a day .
 SAWM : Muslims must observe fast form dawn to dusk in holy
month of RAMZAN
 ZAKAT : Muslim must give certain portion of their wealth as alms
to help the poor .
 HAJ: Muslims must go on the pilgrimage or to Haj to Kaaba in
mecca at least once in their lifetime .
 Islam added new dimension to art of calligraphy .
 They learnt and improved upon the Chinese techniques of paper making,
ceramics and silk weaving .
 Contribution of Islamic civilization in the field of mathematics includes the
development of algebra and algorithms.
 Islamic great works such as RUBAIYAT by Omar Khayyam,
SHAHNAMAB by Firdausi .
 The Abbasids established the ‘house of wisdom’ in Baghdad Muslim
scholars translated into Arabic the ancient roman, Indian and other works of
nature science and mathematics etc .
