This document provides a summary of humanitarian events and weather forecasts across Asia and the Pacific for the week of 21-27 July 2015. Heavy rainfall caused flooding in Myanmar affecting 70,000 people and killing 9. Flooding also impacted parts of China and Japan. Several volcanoes in Indonesia remained active, displacing over 11,500 people. Prolonged drought worsened in Fiji, Thailand, and other Pacific nations due to the intensifying El Niño weather pattern. Below average rainfall was forecast for parts of Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and western India over the next three months.
