Monday 8th September I started the research of the music magazine genre. I have learnt three
of the target audience theories constructed by Hartley, Katz and
Maslow

need the picture. I completed the survey and questionnaire. I have
also learnt of my preliminary task: to create the front cover and
contents page of a school themed magazine.
Monday 22nd September I have completed my mood board, my name ideas mind map and
edited my questionnaire and survey. I started my preliminary front
cover: inserted the bar code and created the background for the
masthead.
Monday 29th September I completed the strapline and masthead and the social networking link
on the preliminary front cover. I have created a main headline and
duplicated the st Andrews logo and masthead and put them around
the barcode.
Monday 6th October I took a picture of my main headline subject and removed the
background. However I might try the alternative image as it may be
easier to edit.
I have completed my prelim front caver and I am in the process of
doing the step by step progress.
Monday 13th October I have learnt the contents page conventions and learnt how to open a
new document in Photoshop instead of using templates. I have started
my prelim contents page, I have done: headings, some of the stories to
be included and indicated the space where the images and editorial. I
have completed my cover stories and typed out the web address, issue
and page number at the bottom. I have added the shapes at the bottom
of the page and the heading boxes.
Monday 20th October I have completed my editorial and have placed the signature and the
editor details in the page. I have been given spellings to correct and
areas to improve in such as the shaping of the editorial. I have now
completed the contents page.

completed my step by step evidence pages in the planning and
research document. I have also made corrections on my front cover to
make it even more professional
Monday 10th November I have completed the hand drawn draft for the main task components.
I shall use these to guide Me to create a magazine similar to that of my
magazine of inspiration MOJO.
Monday 17th November I have made corrections to my main task front cover to make it more
similar to my magazine of inspiration. I have added in two of the cover
lines in my front page. I have made alterations to the prop list And
photo shoot plan
Monday 24th November A have added variation to the fonts of my cover lines and different
colors to make certain parts stand out
Monday 1st December I have made the strapline more noticeable. I have made the headline
much bigger and applied an inner shadow effect to make it look 3D
and even more noticeable. I have also done some reformatting work
on my contents page.
Monday 8th December I have rewritten my editorial to include more of the necessary codes
and conventions that will build a relationship with the reader. I have
restructured the text in the contents page to maximize space so that I
can fit the desired amount of stories.
Monday 15th December I have altered the structure of the contents column to accommodate
the editorial. Conveniently, this has made my page more similar to the
hand drawn draft

of the blue background on the image. I have started the interview for the BPS

and created a background.

made it cover the entire page, I did this in InDesign. Now I have created the
heading, the stand fist and the drop capital.
Monday 26 January I have made a lot of progress with my BPS, I have coloured the questions,
made a caption for the image, fixed the name at the top and throughout my
work, made an exclusive banner, made the social media logo have no
background, created an individual font style: steelfish.

drawn drafts and finished work and the main task work to the blog page. I
