FRONT COVER START
Here I simply just wanted to get
my masthead on my front cover
and compare it with the
gradient background. I thought
it look good with the
background and suited it well. I
also just added the image to
see the space I’d have to write
in. I had to use the quick
selection tool to crop the
background of my image.
FRONT COVER MIDDLE 1
I started to place some text
onto my front cover.The text
on the right I tried to shape it
around the image.The text in
the middle was placed on top of
my image. I did this to show its
about the person on the cover. I
tried to follow a red, black and
white colour scheme.
FRONT COVER MIDDLE 2
Here I added some typical
magazine conventions.The bar
code and price was used to try
and give it more of a
professional magazine look.
Also an extra bit at the bottom
to cover more space.
FRONT COVER FINISHED
Here is my final piece. I
changed the image because I
felt it looked better on the front
cover. I also edited it more by
using the spot heeling brush
tool the make the image look
better. I used more text to
make the front cover look more
full.
CONTENTS PAGE START
I wanted to use the same colour
scheme as on my front cover so
I went with the red and black
boxes with white background.
For this I just used the rectangle
tool.
CONTENTS PAGE MIDDLE 1
I used some text here. I
followed the colour scheme
with text. Also I used the
rectangle tool again to give all
the boxes borders.
CONTENTS PAGE MIDDLE 2
I started to fill in other boxes on
my contents page. I used an
image with a border using the
rectangle tool. Also more text
to fill blank spaces.
CONTENTS PAGE FINISHED
Here is my finished contents
page. I used images to show
who the artist is. I also used a
magazine convention with the
editors note, along with a
picture of the editor.
DPS START
I stuck to my red, black and
white colour scheme. I used the
rectangle tool to make the
boxes. Also a thin black line to
split where my text would go. I
planned to add text on the right
page.
DPS MIDDLE 1
I started to add text on my right
page. This part of text was a
questionnaire with the artist.
DPS MIDDLE 2
Here I used the image of the
artist and started to fill in the
right side in the black boxes. I
edited my image before placing
it on photoshop using the spot
healing brush tool
DPS FINISHED
Here I place my masthead in
the top left hand corner to
show the magazine. Also I
finished the text in the black
boxes.
