ANATHEMA

SCENE 1
INT. The drury sound of night is all you
can hear, the sound of crickets creaking
and trees rustling in the wind fills the air.
All of a sudden a screeching sound awakens, the sound of
extreme pain and evil, within an instance a girl appears,
sprinting through the forest, which she seems to be so deeply,
lost in.
Wounded, frightened as she appears, she runs for her life, in
panic in any direction possible. She holds nothing but a
camera giving her a dim light source to show her what is
around her, but unable to see an further. Her clothes are torn
and she is covered in dirt and mud.
Heavy panting and brief screams of panic is all you can hear,
what is she running from? Her appearance shows there is a
story to be told. But how or by whom is unknown.
She stops and everything stops with her no noise can be heard
but her breathing and her panicking voice, no sight can be
seen but the darkness which lies ahead. She has stopped on a
path spinning around trying to locate where to go and where
she has just come from, the sudden realisation of lost comes
to her. As she realises she can not pinpoint the noise she was
running from. Her breathing slows and she stands still staring
down the path.
Something can be seen in the darkness, every other noise has
faded. As the girl just stands there frozen.
Until she speaks, saying only one word, a name. “Eva?”.
The camera then blurs and the scene ends.
(Black shot appears showing the name of the movie)
Camera blurring in, and Alex is holding it. Alex is standing
surrounded by people, and he appears to be playing around with
the camera trying to get it working. (CU INTO MS)
Alex
Is it on?

Ana
Yeah, it is.
Alex
I can't tell... Oh yeah, there it is.
He appears briefly then turns the camera around to show who is
standing with him. A face appears smiling brightly towards
him.
Alex
Say hi Ana
Ana
(giggling)
No!
He spins the camera around to show new faces also standing
next to him. These new faces are Haris and Anthony, Alex’s
friends. Haris turns around to hide himself from the camera
and starts talking to other people in the queue.
Anthony
Don't put the camera in my face..
Alex
Relax man, I’m just messing.
Anthony throws a hand up to push the camera away back round to
Ana, clearly not wanting to be on camera.
Ana
Why are you even recording?
Alex
I told you why i'm going to be filming.
She looks at him blankly.

Alex
My project? You know where i have to film
my whole day to day life for my psychology
class.
Ana
Ahh, okay...
Alex turns the camera back round facing the queue. Says to
Harris, who is trying to avoid him.
(LS-MS)
...Haris who you bringing later on tonight?
He turns round and gives him slight smile as to shut up, like
there was someone he didn't want to hear that. Anthony and
Alex both start giggling as he turns back around.
Alex then taps anthony and points at him, as the two had
clearly just schemed something,
(MS-LS-ELS) Anthony pushes Haris forward, nudging Haris into a
girl standing in front of him. Instantly, Alex and Anthony run
away laughing at each other as they see Haris apologising to
the girl, who he had just bumped into, knocking a phone out of
her hand. As the two run the camera starts to blur again due
to the swaying of the camera.
Alex, Anthony, Anastasia, Haris and some new characters are
sitting around a table chatting, on a break from lessons. The
room is crowded and bustling with noise. Alex is still holding
it.
Alex
(MS-CS)
The camera is playing up again, I literally just can not get
it to work.
Anthony
it's not the camera, you're just a moron.

Alex stops and stares at Anthony, looking
back at the camera.
Alex
(slightly frustrated and annoyed jokily)
Oh, now it’s working
Adjusting the camera facing it towards the table.
Alex
(LS)
So Haris, how did your conversation go, did you invite Zoe?
Haris
(rubbing his face)
How do you think the conversation went? [Mumbling] Assholes...
Alex
[Holding in laughs]
Oh, right... Is she coming though?
Haris
(looking really grumpy)
Yeah, she might be, only because she feels so bad for hitting
me. When I explained that it was you two who caused the issue,
she was fine with me.
Anthony
[Looking back at alex wanting to laugh]
Well, at least she is thinking about coming…
Three new characters appear to walk towards the table.
Alex
(shaking hands with everyone at the table)
Hey, you alright mark?
Mark
(pausing looking at Haris in question)
Yeah, not too bad. What happened to you?

Haris
Don't ask.
Alex
(Matt shaking hands with everyone at the table)
Matt, Soph.
Sophia
You’s okay?
Alex
Yeah we’re okay, Haris’ mum came by and saw him talking to a
girl which wasn't his cousin so he’s mad, y’know, the whole
arranged marriage thing.
Haris reaching across the table to hit Alex, with Anthony
laughing in the background. Sophia goes and sits next to
Anastasia (they start talking about other things), Matt and
Mark have already sat down at the table.
Matt
So are all you’s ready for later?
Anthony
Yeah, we’ve got everything ready.
Alex notices fear rise in Ana’s eyes as her eyes start to tear
up.
Alex
(trying to reassure and comfort her)
Hey? It's gonna be alright
Anastasia and Sophia both get up and turn to the group.
Anastasia
Right, we’re leaving. We’re gonna go to Soph’s to get ready
for later as we both don't have any lessons.

Alex
(Anastasia hugs Alex)
Alright, that's fine, I’ll call you in a
bit once I'm leaving.
Anastasia
Okay… Alright guys, see ya later, don't be late as... you
know... this is quite important for me.
Everyone replies with yeah or okay, then says goodbye and goes
on their way.
Anthony
Right boys, I'm free as well, so I'm gonna leave.
Matt
Yeah, I'm gonna come with ya.
Alex
Yeah I've got another lesson so I’ll see you lot in a bit.
Mark
I have too.
Matt
Where are we meeting again?
Alex
I’ll text you later. Alright, safe.
Camera trails Anthony and Matt as they leave. (MS-CU) Alex and
Mark then both get up to go to class, and as Alex gets, up he
turns the camera off.
SCENE 2
INT. Camera switches on. Sophia is holding it.

The camera is moving but who has it? The
lights are dim from a bedroom light, we’re
in a hallway, in a house but where? The
camera moves towards the door someone is
moving inside the room.
(EXLS) The door nudges open slightly, to see Anastasia packing
a bag up in her room, she turns around and jumps
Ana
Oh my god! You scared me...
Sophia
(Laughing)
Ha ha ha ha.
Ana
Don't do that again
(exhaling)
... I’m already scared enough for later.. and why do you have
that camera?
Sophia
(LS)(Sophia goes and sits on a chair opposite)
Alex gave it to me and told me to come and talk to you about
what we’re doing tonight, you know, why we are going, that
sort of thing.
Ana
(goes and closes the door)
He really is such a pain in the ass.
Sophia
Because... you never really told us what happened that
night...

Ana
You know I don’t like to talk about it!
Sophia
But it's been two years; you have to start talking about it
eventually, especially when we are going to the place where it
happened.
Ana
(Thinks before speaking)
Fine… fine, OK.. I will tell you. So what do you want to know?
Sophia
Why are we going to the forest? What's the whole meaning of
this?
Ana
(breathes out slowly)
The reason we are going into the forest tonight is for my
sister. Wwo years ago, on this night, she and three other of
her friends disappeared without a trace in that forest, and
they’ve obviously been supposed dead.
Sophia
(Shoked)
Oh my god!
Ana
The police checked the whole forest, they searched everywhere,
but she couldn’t be found.
Sophia
But.. do you know for sure she’’s dead?
Ana
(Exhaling)

I don't know, all I remember is this. A
couple of days before her disappearance,
she starting acting... different? I don’t
know.. me and my mum didn't know what was
wrong with her. All she kept saying was “I need to return to
the forest”. She wasn't very well that day, so when she was
sleeping I went into her room to see if she was okay after
school, and I found such a strange book which had some.. Odd
things inside. She woke instantly and screamed at me, telling
me to leave… I did and she slammed the door and… (Getting
emotional) ...that was the last time i saw my sister. And now
because of this.. all those memories of this forest are dark
and (starts crying) ..and (stuttering) ...this is for me to
try and get through my fear of this forest, which is where me
and my mum can only assume she is, and if not, then… I don’t
know..
Ana
..Which is why we are going there tonight, we're going to the
place my sister loved the most, a great Oak tree... it was her
favourite place in that forest. We’re doing this to celebrate
her life and hope one day, if she is still out there, that she
returns.
There is a shout from downstairs
Alex
“Yo girls are we leaving yet”
Ana
Yeah we're coming.
Sophia
Come on, you’ll be fine.

Both get up and Sophia turns the camera
off and both leave.
SCENE 3
EXT.Camera switches on. This time Alex is holding it.
Time has passed, and Alex and Ana have arrived at the forest,
which is very dark.
[Moving the camera around to try and get it comfortable]
Alex
This camera is so annoying.
Anthony
Come on how long do you lot take?!
Ana
Alright, everybody here?
Mark
(happy and tipsy)
Yeah, everybody’s here
Anthony
Wait where's Haris?
Jogging down slowly with Naveah.
Haris
Sorry we're late.
Alex
Hi Naveah! I see Haris finally mustered up the balls to ask
out to come here.

Haris hits alex.
Haris
Oh, shut up!
Naveah
No it's okay, Haris and I were talking and he told me bout
tonight so I thought i'll tag along.
Alex
Oh, okay
Naveah
(looking at Alex, Anthony and Haris, who roll their eyes)
And I really want to scare the hell out of you three
Ana
Alright guys, let's go.
The whole group start to walk through the forest, grasping an
understanding of how dark the forest truly is
(the shots skip to show time passing and movement through the
forest until they reach the tree).
SCENE 4
EXT. Walking through the forest they finally reach the tree.
Ana
Alright guys, this is it.
Mark
Wow… What's that building over there?
Ana
Oh, that’s just an old building, been there as long as I can
remember.

The group stroll round to the tree,
looking around at all the scenery.
Ana
Right, should we light a fire?
Alex
Yeah sure, let me turn this off..
Alex turns the camera off as they set up their camp area.
SCENE 5
EXT. The camera is switched back on, the group had settled
into the area and has a fire lit (or possibly lamps). Anthony
is holding it. Sitting on logs, they have drinks out and are
celebrating Eva’s life, as Ana gets on her knees and puts
flowers down at her sister's favourite place.
Everybody cheering quietly
Mark
Yeah to Eva, whoohoo!
Everybody laughs as he is clearly had too much to drink, yet
Ana is still a little shaken up. Ana sits back down, Alex goes
to reassure her.
Alex
Do you feel better now?
Ana
Yeah a bit, I know if she has gone, her mind is at rest, at
least.
Alex hugs Ana.
Haris
Well, as we're camping out at the moment... has anyone got any
horror stories?

Matt
(Mumbling as he drinks the last sip of his
drink)
Yep, I have!
Anthony
(Huffing)
You're not going to tell that one again?
Matt
Mmhm.
Anthony
It’s just another boring myth story.
Matt
(Looking at Ana)
Oh, is it now? Although there has been actual proof about it
being real??
Ana seems to retract into herself, seeming slightly worried.
Naveah
What is it?
Matt
(turns a looks up at the tree).
And it's to do with this very tree
Everybody turns their full attention to Matt, curious to what
he has to say.
Matt
Many centuries ago, that old building was once a mental asylum
(pointing to the building above the trees) and was a home to
some of the most notorious lunatics EVER known.
Alex

So why isn't Mark there?
Alex and Anthony are laughing, while Mark
throws a can at Alex.
Matt
Anyways…now, the legend has it that there was a girl that
moved into the asylum. This wasn't just any girl, she murdered
her whole family, mutilated them and hung their remains around
her house. Not just that, she drank and covered herself in
their blood.
Alex
Bit overkill don’t ya think? Geez...
Matt
When she was placed in this mental asylum, she would never
eat, never drink... all she would do is sit there with this
book, which she seemed extremely attached too. It wasn't long
before things started going wrong at this place, inmates
started to have... horrible things happen to them. Many tried
to escape into this forest, but their bodies were found in
horrendous ways. A local priest found out about these hearings
and managed to make a deal with the asylum’s council, and they
swore it to secrecy. The deal was that he and some others
could take her into the forest and burn her body alive
alongside her book. They eventually did it, and they say that
she only screamed one word during these proceedings...
“Anathema... Anathema”... She was never heard or seen of
again, but that wasn't the end of her terror. A week later the
priest who committed this sin alongside three out of the four
followers were found mutilated. Only one survived which is how
the story was released.
Anthony
But there was never any proof that it happened, and besides,
it's only a legend, so don’t get too wound up over it.
Matt

I don't think so you know... I think they
killed her right here and planted this
tree over the area so her remains could
never be found.
Naveah screams as Mark had got up and gone round the tree to
where she was and scared her. Everybody laughs, and he takes
his drink and throws it as he runs from Zoe, as she gets up
and chases him round the tree and has a little play fight
pushing him down onto the log. However, Ana is visibly
petrified, as if she’s thinking of something dark.
Naveah
Mark!
Ana
(speaking to Alex)
You don’t… you don’t think any of this had something to do
with Eva’s disappearance?
Alex
No, no! Don’t worry yourself out like that, it's only a myth,
it's probably not even true.
Ana
But Eva went crazy when she found some book! What if it's the
same thing...
Alex
It's not, come on Ana there's no such thing as an evil book.
Ana looking really puzzled to whether the story Matt had just
told might had been true and had some links towards Eva’s
disappearance.
Matt

Do you guys wanna go up there and see what
it looks like now?
Everybody looks at each other anxiously,
yet some agree.
Naveah
I don’t know...
Anthony
You’ll be fine, you’ll have haris to protect to you, if he
doesn’t run off first.
They laugh as Haris goes for Anthony.
SCENE 6
EXT. The camera cuts forward in time a bit, and show the group
going up towards the Asylum. Matt is at the front with Mark
and Anthony followed by Sophia, Naveah, Haris, Alex and Ana.
[Walking up towards the building] Anthony is still holding the
camera.
Ana
You sure this is a good idea, leaving our stuff and all?
Alex
Yeah it will be fine it's only us here… I hope..
She pauses, giving him a stare.
Alex
Come on, I'm only joking.
(the shot jumps)

Mark
Is that as close as we can get?
Matt
Yeah, unfortunately.
Sophia
What did they do to the place?
Matt
They renovated it, I think it's a hall now.
Haris
It's not even that big.
Alex
(to Naveah)
That's what she said...
All laugh while Haris gives Alex a dirty look.
Anthony
Yeah it doesn’t seem big because it goes downwards, at least
I’m sure it does.
Alex
(Towards Ana)
See? Nothing scary?
Mark
This is boring, I'm going back to get drinks.
Anthony
Yeah, let's go man.

The group head back along the way.
Matt
(checks pockets)
Aw shit... Aw man, I think I dropped my phone.. I’ll catch up,
you guys go.
(time visibly passes and the shot keeps jumping to show the
passing of time)
SCENE 7
Anthony
Matt’s been gone awhile ain’t he?
Alex
Oh you know him, he’s probably just trying to scare us.
Mark
I dunno, I feel like we should go look for him.
Anthony
Yeah I’ll go with you.
(Anthony and Mark take off to find Matt)
Try calling his phone.
Mark calls matt, and they can hear his phone, showing how he
can’t be far away.
Wait, is that his phone?
They follow the noise of Matts phone. They call him
repeatedly, but he does not answer.

We’ve got to get back.
SCENE 8
EXT. Cuts back to the group at the fire.
Naveah
They’re taking long, aren’t they?
About 10 seconds pass by, until you see Anthony and Mark
running over.
Anthony
We can't find Matt
Mark
We only found his phone.
Alex
What!?
Anthony
Yeah, we can’t find him..
Alex
Okay. . . alright, everyone pack up, we need to find him.
The group within an instance start to pack up and go looking
for Matt.
Ana
Where could he have gone?
Alex
(nervously)
That's what we're gonna find out.
(shot jumps forward)
The group have gone deep into the forest calling for Matt

Alex
Matt!
Ana
Matt!
Anthony
Matt!
Haris and Naveah have stepped off further than the rest of the
group, and they can only be seen slightly in front. Mark has
taken the camera away from anthony as they call for matt using
the light to see where they're going. Noises start to be heard
from the bushes, twigs being snapped. Everyone is still
calling for Matt. All of a sudden a scream can be heard from
up ahead.
Ana
That didn’t sound like a man’s scream… that sounded like
Naveah!
The group run to try and catch up with Zoe & Haris.
But what they find is unbelievable.
Hanging by a rope is a body drenched in blood, but not by
their neck, instead, by an ankle. The body is Matt, identified
by the clothing he is wearing.
Alex
Oh my God...
Anthony
Jesus christ, who could've done this?!
Alex
I.. I.. don't know... but we ain't gonna stay to find out.
From the trees a monstrous noise bellows out.

Haris
Yeah let's get the fuck out of here!
Ana
(still in absolute shock)
But w-w-what about Matt?
Alex
Matt's gone! We can't do anything for him now but we have to
leave now incase this happens again!
The group in a hurry start to make their way back to the camp.
Alex
Come, this way! Keep up guys!
As the group progresses, another incident takes place.
Sophia
Ouuch!
She cries out, the whole group stops to see what has happened.
Ana
(going over to help her up)
What happened?
Sophia
I stepped on something sharp, like-like glass... it went
straight through my shoe.
Haris steps over and tries to see what's wrong.
Haris
Ooh, yeah it’s pretty bad, it's cut straight through, she
won't be able to walk properly OR quickly.
Alex

Will you be okay to help her?
Mark
I’ll help her.
Naveah
Yeah, I’ll help her too.
Haris
Are you sure you don’t need my help?
Naveah
No it's fine, I can hold her.
Alex
Okay guys, try to keep up...
The group turn and start to run again with Mark, Zoe and
Sophia trailing behind, time passes.
Anthony
I can see the tree!
Alex
Yeah, we're not far now.
Haris
Wait, hold on.. where are the others?
Alex
Ah shit… Mark?!
Ana
Naveah?! Sophia!?
Ana
We HAVE to go back!

Alex
We can’t! We have to get out of here!
Haris
Well I can't leave them!!
Haris runs back into the darkness.
Ana
Haris, wait! [Sigh…] We have to go with him
Alex
No! We're not all gonna end up like Matt! I care about your
safety more. Let's go, come on.
Naveah is holding the camera.
Mark
Alex! Alex!
Naveah
Ana!
Mark
Shit, we’ve lost them, and I don't remember the way.
Sophia
(Really poorly)
Go left I think..
Naveah
We need to get you to a doctor, that looks quite bad.
Mark
Wait... what's that up ahead.
Naveah

Is that Alex?.. Alex!
Mark
I don't think that is Alex… Is that…. (stunned) Matt?
Naveah
Matt!? It can’t be?!
Mark
Shhhh, we don't know what that is… I-I don't think it’s
Matt...
The three wobble closer to what they believe to be Matt.
Mark
Matt?
From what they see, it seems to be Matt. The person is
standing still in front of a tree, but with his back towards
them.
Sophia
Let's turn back… or… or go another way.
Naveah
No, hold on... Matt?
Within an instant, the person believed to be Matt turns around
and within a blink of a second sprints and jumps at the three,
knocking Naveah and Mark to the ground, dropping the camera.
He grabs hold of Sophia, and by the time Mark picks up the
camera, himself and Naveah, possessed Matt has already dragged
Off Sophia.
Sophia
(fading out in the distance)
Noooo! Noooo! Please! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!
Mark and Naveah try to run after Matt and Sophia.

Mark
Sophia!
Naveah
Sophia!
Mark
Sophia!
Anger builds in as they realise they have lost her, finding
her loose shoe, covered in blood.
Mark
Oh my God...
All of a sudden Haris appears.
Haris
GUYS! Are you okay? Where's Sophia?
Crying leaping into Haris’ arms and hands him the camera Mark
had given her. Haris is now holding the camera.
Naveah
(sobbing)
Matt took her!
Haris
Matt? That's not possible!!
Mark is stressed out and covers his eyes as he is stressed
out.

Haris
What happened?!
Mark
We lost you guys, and then we tried to find our way back
but... we found Matt... but- it wasn't Matt... Man, we need to
get the fuck out of here!
Haris
We need to get the fuck outta here before he comes back...
Come on!
The three start running through the forest, when suddenly,
Haris trips on a branch, hurting his leg really badly. Naveah
and Mark not hearing this carry on running.
Haris
Ah shit!
Getting to his feet with the camera in his hand, he hears a
noise from the bushes in front, and he calls out.
Haris
Guys!
Mark and Naveah run back quickly. Mark then screams out to
Haris.
Mark
(points behind him as he and Naveah stand still frozen in
fear)
Haris.... behind you!

He hears a noise and turns the camera on
his face to see what's behind him, this
instantly reveals what is right behind him
breathing down his neck. Matt, covered in blood, all around
his face and mouth, is standing quietly with his eyes closed.
Haris goes to turn the screen around to see what the camera is
seeing with in that instance. Matt awakens, revealing his deep
dark black eyes. Haris goes to scream, but Matt reacts,
spitting out loads of blood. He then reaches out and grabs him
round the face, the camera drops alongside Haris as his legs
get dragged away. Naveah instantly goes to run after him but
Matt stops her.
Naveah
Haris!
Mark
No Naveah, he's gone!!
He turns and runs and grabs the camera (which is facing them)
pushing her, and telling her to run.
Mark
Come on, run! Run!
They both start running, Naveah frightened, and crying in
fear. All of a sudden, a monstrous noise screams from the
forest as Matt jumps out the trees onto Mark, overpowered by
inhumane strength, Matt grabs him, pinning him to the floor,
then dragging him off back down the path. Naveah stops in
fear.
Naveah
MARK!
Mark
Don't stop! Keep running!!! (trying to fight for his life)

Naveah, still crying, sprints off in fear
It all blacks out. When the camera’s view
returns, Mark is still fighting for his
life, and has been dragged off somewhere
deep in the forest.
Mark
Matt stop! Matt!!!
He screams as he is thrown into a ditch, and is hurt real bad
upon landing. The camera is revealing his last breaths. As
dirt starts to be thrown on top of him, he begins to scream.
Mark
Wait-wait Matt, no!
Blacks out.
SCENE 10
Comes back in with Alex, Ana and Anthony running. Anthony is
holding the camera.
Alex
Come on, we're almost at the tree!
Naveah
Wait for me!!
Ana
(Runs into Ana's arms crying)
Naveah!?
Naveah
The-They're dead, all of them!
Anthony
What? How?!
Naveah

(crying more deeply)
Matt! He- Well, it's not him, he got
everyone a-a-and I was with Mark, and Mark
told me to run so I did, I didn't know
what to do!
Everyone in shock, shown by Ana’s and Anthony’s faces. Ana
lashes out at Alex.
Ana
I told you we should've gone back for them!
Alex
What, and risk us dying too?
Ana
(Starts walking away)
Yes!
Ana
If we make it out of here, we’re through!!
Alex
(chasing after her)
Ana, come on
Then, out of nowhere, Naveah gets pulled into the forest.
Anthony falls onto the floor in shock, dropping the camera.
Her scream can continuously be heard. Alex is now holding the
camera.
Ana
Naveah! NO!
Alex runs and picks up Anthony, turning and running to Ana.
Alex
Come on, we have to get out of here now!

The three left run to the tree and start
grabbing all of their gear. Anthony comes
round from behind the tree in shock
holding a book.
Anthony
Ana? What’s this?
He opens it only to find weird symbols inside written in
blood, he skips to the front of the book to read something
that freaked him out so much he drops to floor, in immense
pain. They both run to him dropping everything they were
carrying.
Alex
Anthony, shit, come on, stay with me buddie!
Ana, in panic yet curiously opens the book to see something
she cannot explain.
Alex
Wh-what is it?
Ana
This book...I-I’ve seen it before… This is mine!
Alex
That's not possible!
Ana
But then what could it be?!... T-The story... it was true!
Alex
What?
Ana
The story Matt told us, it was all true!

Alex
Tha-That’s not possible! It can’t be true…
how?
Ana
It has to be, all of it fits together! The book, the story…
Eva...
Alex
But then that means you both shared the same blood with the
person who owned this book.
Ana
(she says under her breath)
This is all because of me!
As soon as she says those words, Anthony stops moving.
Alex
No...no! Stay with me buddie!
Only to awaken, sit up, and turn his head to Ana.
Anthony
You… You're the reason they will all die!
He pushes Alex off him and starts smashing his head on the
floor, screaming.
Anthony
(oloi tha pethanoun x3)
..όλοι θα πεθάνουν...όλοι θα πεθάνουν!!
He gets up and starts smashing his head on the tree. Ana and
Alex sit there (petrified) as their friend commits so much
harm to himself. He carries on hitting again and again and
again.

Ana
Anthony, stop it!
Anthony
(Looking at Ana in agony)
Help me…
He laughs, looks back at the tree, and he sees a sharp pointed
bit stick out of the tree and smashes his head on it,
collapsing to the floor. Ana and Alex look at each other and
slowly move to examine the body. He wasn't getting back up
from that, and what they saw was too their disgust, he had
killed himself by smashing his head and damaging his brain.
Ana frozen in shock and fear nearly faints and falls back on
the floor. Alex starts crawling to her.
Alex
Ana, are you OK?! Come on, we have to go! Ana!
She rises when the monstrous scream is heard again from the
forest, but this time, it sounded a lot closer.
Alex
Come on, we have to move now!
They both get to their feet, Ana’s barely able to stand, and
they start running.
Alex
(screaming)
Ana, keep up with me!
As the noise is heard again, you can tell it’s getting closer
and closer. Ana falls, unable to move. Alex turns and runs
back to her.
Alex
(Alex has urgency in his voice)

Come on Ana, we’ve got to move!
Ana
(Crying)
I can’t!
Alex looks up realising the noise is getting closer. He picks
Ana up and tries to help her move, eventually getting further,
but she drops again. Alex has a look of realisation on his
face as he knows what he has to do.
Alex
(hands her the camera)
Ana... take this.
Ana
(still barely unable to speak from her muffled crying)
W-What, why!?
Alex
(Stuttering)
You need to get up and run...You n-need to take it and show
people w-what happened here.. O-okay?
Ana
But what about you?
Alex
Don't you worry about me [He gets up and runs in the direction
they came from]. Now get up and run!
Ana
Alex!...Alex!
She gets up and runs, not knowing the direction she is going
in, trying to find any source of light to show her an exit.
Then, from behind her, she hears a painful noise of screaming.
Knowing who it came from she, freezes in fear. But a few
seconds later, the monstrous noise appears again, this time

even close and louder. In panic, she
starts sprinting in any direction she
possible can, not caring where she goes as
long as it's away from the noise. She runs
as far as she can, distancing herself from the noise, but in
sudden realisation, she stops and everything stops with her.
No noise can be heard but her breathing and her voice
panicking, no sight can be seen but the darkness which lies
ahead. She has stopped on a path spinning around trying to
locate where to go and where she has just come from, the
sudden realisation of lost comes to her. As she realises she
can not pinpoint the noise she was running from, her breathing
slows and she stands still staring down the path.
Something can be seen in the darkness, every other noise has
faded as Ana just stands there frozen.
Until she speaks, saying only one word “Eva?”.
At that very moment a Woman in appearance but a demonic spirit
in hiding, jumps forward at her knocking the camera out of her
hands and onto the floor, the dim light starts to fade out and
flicker, and out from the darkness, Ana crawls, crawling
towards the light of the camera, but at that instance she is
pulled away fast and her screaming drains out in the distance.
The camera is then switched off.
Scene 11
(EXLS)Time has passed and the camera switches back on, facing
towards Ana, who lays in the middle of a drawn out circle
surrounded by lit torch light.
She starts to awake remembering what had happen she jumps up
then realising where she is she then starts to panic. But at
this point it is already too late, stepping into the light
from the darkness on all fours, comes a girl pale as white
wearing ragged clothing, with thick long black hair covering
her face. she crawls forward towards Ana.

Ana
(Screaming)
No… No please!
As the woman grabs her leg and crawls on top of her, she puts
her face right close to Ana’s face. She screams right in her
face while Ana is just laying there frozen cold. She grabs a
vase and pours blood all over herself. She then picks up a
knife from the floor and stabs herself. Grabs hold of Ana’s
mouth and makes her taste the blood. She screams one more
time, as Ana cries. She raises the knife above her head.
Ana
(Screaming)
N-No! Please!.. No!
Brings the knife down fast and the camera blacks out.
The black lingers for a while, then the camera switches back
on. There is daylight, and the holder of the camera is walking
towards the exit. The camera is turned around to show Ana?
Wearing friends clothing, smiling as if nothing happened, then
her eye colour changes and goes full black for a second and
goes back to her normal colour. She smiles again turns the
camera back around and opens the park gate and leaves. The
camera turns off.
