Secondary 1 Geography Weather & Climate Performance Task
Step 1 – Build Your team Form groups of 5 – 6 persons. ** Your Geography teacher will facilitate the group-forming process.
Step 2 – Select Your Inquiry Topic Together with your team-mates: select your area of interest –  Floods or Droughts select your country type –  Developed or Developing country ** Your Geography teacher may assign you with your inquiry topic instead.
Step 3 – Inquiry & Fact-finding Inquire into the extreme weather condition the team has chosen, based on a case study of your country type. ** Your team may have to embark on a preliminary research to narrow down a viable country as your case study.
Step 3 – Inquiry & Fact-finding Your inquiry must include the following: Causes Consequences Actions / responses / solutions taken Assess the effectiveness of the actions / responses / solutions, eg - actions can be positive or negative - solutions can be long or short-term Challenges & constraints
Step 4 – Consolidate your Information Make use of your group’s assigned wetpaint space to update your findings and progress of your inquiry. ** This can be assessed from the link entitled <Links to Class Sites>
Step 5 – Present your Findings Work out how your group would present your inquiry findings to the class in 10min. Be creative, be different – explore and experiment!! ** Besides the usual powerpoint, why not a skit? Make a video-clip? A cartoon? A storyboard? A blog? Conduct a quiz-show after your presentation?
