  LESSON PLAN INHEALTH 9 GRADE & SECTION: 9 ABELARDO DATE: MARCH 27, 2019 TIME: 8:30– 9:30 I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to: 1. Define injury. 2. Differentiate intentional injuries from unintentional injuries. 3. Classify the given situation as to whether they refer to intentional or unintentional injuries. 4. Showcase examples of intentional and unintentional injuries through role playing. 5. Show enthusiasm in doing the activity. II. SUBJECT MATTER: Topic: INJURY (INTENTIONAL & UNINTENTIONAL INJURIES References: Module in Health Grade 9, pp. 371-373 Materials: Power Point, Pictures, visual aids (Carolina strips Values integration: “Prevention isbetter than Cure” III. PROCEDURE: A. DAILY ROUTINE 1. Opening Prayer 2. Checking of attendance B. LESSON PROPER: ACTIVITY: Preliminary Questions: 1. What time do you usually go to school in the morning? 2. Why do you have to leave your house that early? 3. How about the others, what are your means of transportation in going to school? 4. Where do you ride in going to school? 5. So where do you think is much safer, to ride on a bus, a jeep, motorbike, or tricycle? Why? Photo Analysis:TheStudents willcompletethe sentences ofeachcharacters. ANALYSIS: What concepts or conclusion can you make from the activity that you have done? ABSTRACTION: (5mins) The class will be divided into 3 groups. Group 1 will discuss and give the definition of the injury. Group 2 will work on the classification of injury. Differentiate intentional injury from unintentionalinjury. Then group 3 will classify the given news headlines as to whether they are intentional and unintentional injury.

ASSIGNMENT List down unintentional injury that happens inside yourhouse and post it on social media (facebook, ig or twitter with the hashtag #unintenionalInjuries) to let the people know what are the possible injuries may happen at home.
