Problems Solved by Wheel Maintenance Proposition

• Deteriorating wheel quality causes:
  – Damage to gearboxes (hotbox)
  – Damage to tracks
  – Damage to suspension (broken springs)
  – Wheel failure derailment
• Periodic Maintenance is in place to:
  – Prevent excessive wear and tear
  – Perform Quality checks
  – Repair & Replace
• Even with Periodic Maintenance:
  – Wear and tear progresses unnoticed between
    depot visits
  – Unscheduled depot visits for emergency
    repairs are still needed

• Wheel Maintenance Proposition:
  – Actual wear & tear decides optimal maintenance moment
  – No unscheduled depot visits
  – Automatic registation of wheel metrics
  – Automatic Wheel-lathe configuration
  – Complete end-to-end data integration
  – Management information avaliable anytime / anywhere
