Sleeping Beauty Analyzing Story
A princess is cursed by an evil fairy to prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep sleep at the age of 15. When she reaches that age, the curse comes true and the entire kingdom falls asleep for 100 years. A prince searches for the sleeping princess and braves the thorns surrounding the castle. Upon finding her, he kisses the princess and breaks the spell, awakening her and the entire kingdom. They later marry. The story is told from an omniscient third-person point of view and shares similarities in plot to Snow White, though the princess falls asleep rather than dies.

ANALYSIS STORY BASEDON THE QUESTION Sleeping beauty was one of narrative text that tells us about a beauty princess that has been slept because of the damnation but it destroys by the handsome prince. Once there was a royal couple who grieved very much because they had no children. When at last, after waiting a long time, the Queen presented her husband with a little daughter. Unhappily, the old fairy came and she wishes that the princess grew up into a young lady, and learned to spin; she might prick her finger with the spindle and at once die of the wound. Along time, the princess grew up the fairest woman in the world, have a temper sweet as an angle, perfectly graceful and gracious, sing like a nightingale, dance like a leaf on a tree, and possess every virtue under the sun. But in fifteen years old, the princess does indeed find an old woman spinning at a wheel in a forgotten tower and pricks her finger, falling down in a deep sleep. The curse is so powerful that the whole kingdom also falls asleep. One hundred years later a Prince searches for the enchanted princess. The thorns that grow around the castle part for him and he finds Briar Rose, kissing her to wake her. The kingdom awakens from the spell and the Prince and Briar Rose are married.in this story, the main character is the princess. Point of view in this story is omniscient third person narrator because either gives the reader access into the consciousness of more than character or focuses on more than one character. This story has the same plot with Snow White but different type of process of the princess to die in short time. If in Snow White story, the princess die because of apple that given by the enchantress. The sentence that very significant in this story is “At this young Prince, who had the spirit of hero, determined to find out the truth for himself”. That sentence means the prince was a very courageous person. The rate for this story is 8 because the reader still can find some weaknesses from this story.
