Which is the valid assumption? Unemployment allowance should be given to all unemployed Indian youth above 18 years of age. Assumptions: I. There are unemployed youth in India who need monetary support. II. The government has sufficient funds to provide, allowance to all unemployed youth.
Solution Assumption means something which we assume to be true. Assumption is hidden as we believe this to be true. Assumption requires that the fact should be such which seems to be basic to the statement. Thus only statement NO 1. is valid assumption.
Which is valid assumption? All the employees are notified that the organization will provide transport facilities at half cost from the nearby railway station to the office except those who have been provided with travelling allowance. Assumptions: I. Most of the employees will travel by the office transport. II. Those who are provided with travelling allowance will not read such notice.
Solution .. . Only 1 st assumption is valid assumption, because that’s why the notice has been circulated. If people were not going to read this notice, then there was no need to mention about those who don’t get travelling allowance.
A solid cube with an edge of 10cm is melted to from two equal cubes. The ratio of the edge of the smaller cube to the bigger cube is 7.93: 10 answer.
Solve the following? A man goes 15 metres due west and then 8 metres due north. How far is he from the starting point? (1) 19 metres (2) 16 metres (3) 17metres (4) 15 metres
Solution . . Square root of (15*15 + 8*8) = sqrt(289) =17 answer.
Solve the following . . Two trains are moving in opposite directions at speeds of 60 km/hour and 90 km per hour, their lengths are 1.10 km and 0.9 km. respectively, the time taken by the slower train to cross the faster train in seconds is (1)36 (2) 49 (3) 45 (4)48
Solution Let us add the speeds of the 2 trains 60+90 = 150 Let us add the distances of the two trains: 1.1 KM + .9 KM = 2 KM Thus 2 / 150 = 1/75 Let us multiply 1/75 by 60 *60 (to get answer in seconds) = 48 seconds.
What is the duplicate ratio of 3:4? 9:16
What is the compound ratio of 4:9, 9:16, 8:27, 729: 343 is ? Let us multiply: 4*9*8*729 = 209952 Let us multiply : 9*16*27*343= 1333584 Let us remove all common elements from these. The common elements are: 729*16 =18:114 Let us divide both by 6 =3: 19
What is compound ratio of 4:9 and duplicate ratio of 3:4 ? Compound ratio of 4:9 and 9:16 Let us multiply 4 and 9 = 36 Let us multiply 9 and 16 = 144 Now let divide 144 by 36, we get 4 Thus ratio is 1:4 answer.
What is the compound ratio of (a) 4:9, (b) 9:16,(c ) triplicate ratio of 2:3, (d) 9:7 is? Let us multiuply 4*9*8*9 = 2592 Let us multiply 9*16*27*7 = 27216 Let us remove the common elements from them We get : 2:21 answer.
Two numbers are in the ratio of 2:3 and if 4 is subtracted from them, then they are in the ratio of 3:5, what are the numbers? Hit and try will give you the answer: Thus 16:24 – from this deduct 4 each. We get 12: 20 which is 3: 5 answer.
What is the compound ratio of (a) 4:5, (b) triplicate ratio of 1:3, (c ) sub duplicate ratio of 81:256 (d) sub riplicate ratio of 125 : 512? Let us multiply : 4*1*9*5 = 180 Let us multiply : 5*27*16*8 = 17280 Let us remove common elements from them which are (5*9*4) = 1: 96 answer.
