Create the
Tree of the
Knowledge of
Good and
Evil?
adapted from a presentation by Timmy Tng
God’s Creation

Gen 1:31 And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it
was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
All Created Good . . .
Gen. 1:31 records:
“Then God saw everything that He had
made, and indeed it was very good.”

Everything was divinely created in the first
six days.
Nothing was created after those days.
Knowledge of
Good & Evil

Tree of Life

And out of the ground God caused to grow
every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and
good for food. The tree of life also was in
the middle of the garden, and the tree of
knowledge of good and evil.
And God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree in the
garden except from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil-- Gen 2:16
God wanted man to keep
His commands.
The tree of the knowledge
of good and evil

But of the fruit of the tree which is in
the middle of the garden, God said,
“You shall not eat of it, neither shall you

Excuses…Excuses…
Excuses
Adam blamed Eve:
“The woman whom You gave to
be with me, she gave me of the
tree, and I ate” (Gen. 3:12)

Eve blamed the Devil:
“The serpent deceived me, and
I ate” (Gen. 3:13).
Then God said:
“See! The man
has become like
one of us,
knowing what is
good and what
is bad!
Therefore, he
must not be
allowed to put
out his hand to
take fruit from
the tree of life
also and thus
eat of it and live
forever.”
…God therefore
banished him
from the garden

sin entered the world, and through
sin, death, and thus death came to all,
inasmuch as all have sinned…”
