 A Computer Based Functional Literacy Programme
 undertaken in theyear 2000 to addresstheimpedimentsof illiteracy through IT

 By using multimedia, theproduct enablesan individual to learn, reading, writing, and
solving simplearithmetic problemsin 45 to 50 hours.
Adult Literacy Programme (ALP)
Graduatesof Literacy

 Theprogrammeisavailablein 9 Indian languages, 2 African languages and Arabic.
 Sinceitsinception, theALPhasreached 1,93,625 beneficiaries.
 In fiscal 2013, literacy wasimparted to 11125 people.
 During theyear, in partnershipswith NGOsand academic institutions, 473 trainerswere
capacity built to conduct ALPprogrammesin T

 Onestop shop for all information related to theALP, with provision for registration,

FY 13, theALPreach in New Delhi increased from 3 Jailsto 10 jails.
 At Tihar Jail, New Delhi, atotal of 300 inmateshavebeen madeliteratethrough this
programme.

theCancer Instituteat Chennai.
 FY13 marked thesuccessful implementation of all 17 modulesof MedMantrawhich were
transitioned to asupport mode.
 3,20,000 investigation resultswerereported and 125000 consultationswereperformed.
