Through constructing their opening video sequence and blogs, the students learned to use several technologies:
- iMacs with video/audio editing software like Final Cut Express, Livetype, and Soundtrack to produce their video and blogs.
- A flip camera and tripod to record video shots which were then edited on the iMacs.
- Online tools like Mahara for blogging, YouTube for research and sharing videos, and presentation tools like bubbl.us and Prezi.
- The technologies provided necessary software and capabilities, though some had learning curves or other disadvantages like file size issues for Mahara.
