- 2. Prelim task (The Obscurity) 1. Match onaction 2. Shot/reverse shot 3. The 180-degree rule Interview between twopeople, howeverthe interviewee won’t stop talking and the interviewer is trying to intervene to ask questions but can’t get a word in. Time goes on and the interviewer is getting stressed as he can’t ask any questions and his faceis getting angrier and angrier. The interviewee continues to talk looking around talking about himself, completely ignoring the other guy.
- 3. Script {Knock on door} “Come in” {Match on action as guy opens and walks through the door} Man: “Oh, hello, nice to meet you.” Guy: “Nice to meet you too” Man: “Please, sit down, and well begin” ‘Two of them sit and ready themselves for an interview’ Man: “So then…” Guy: “Yeah…” Man: “Tell me about yourself… (Camera switches between the two) what type of person are you?” Guy: “Right, umm, well I like literature and history” Guy: “I’m not working I like to read or watch a good documentary” Man: “Uh huh Guy: “I also like to cook, my girlfriend doesn’t like me cooking… but you know it’s not her choice is it! Ha ha…” ‘Man looks agitated trying to get a word in’ Guy: “I always go out with my friends and have a laugh; I’m a very sociable guy” {Man trying to speak, keeps getting cut off} Man: “So…” Guy: “All my mates are also really nice that’s why we get along you know?” {Man shows facial expressions){Starting to get angry} Man: “OK...So…” Guy: “Also I like to think of myself as being intellectual and smart. {Man finally explodes after waiting impatiently expressions of anger showing on his face} Man:”Ok, Ok! STOP TALKING… I need to ask the questions not have you tell me your life story…”
- 4. Guy: “Oh… Sorry…” Man: “Right… Ok, well I think were done here, Well be in contact to let you know whether you’ve got the job.” Guy: “Ok thanks” {Both Guy and Man stand up shake hands and then Guy leaves room}
