The contest runs November 26 to December 12, with the adventure beginning live in this webinar, complete with a prize giveaway to kick things off. Join us as we unveil the legend of Greenbeard, the pirate lizard whose long-lost fortune awaits discovery. Your mission: follow the clues, solve puzzles, and place your flags on the map to uncover the treasure’s hidden location. The closer your flag lands, the better your chances to win one of our grand prizes! You’ll also get a look at the exciting new programs and events launched in 2025, showcasing fresh ways you can connect with other FME Community members all year long. - 21. What is thecontest? From November 26 to December 12, we’re hosting our annual FME Community winter contest: a treasure hunt powered by FME Flow! Set sail on an adventure across the FME Community as you solve puzzles and follow clues to uncover the long-lost fortune of Greenbeard the pirate lizard. Pin your guesses to our world map and the closest to the actual treasure wins one of our grand prizes!

How to WinPrizes ● Closest guess: The player whose flag lands closest to the treasure wins the first grand prize, a large Stump Craft (Canadian-made wooden puzzle) or Heye puzzle of your choice (up to $200 CAD value). ● The next two closest players win the second and third grand prizes - a large Stump Craft or Heye Puzzle. ● Special Achievement Prizes: ○ Worst guess: A fun FME swag pack including stickers, socks, and a spork! ○ Most puzzles solved: An FME hoodie to show off your puzzle-solving prowess. ● Four contest badges are also available and automatically awarded depending on your level of participation

General Structure ● AIsuggested the database structure (taller, rather than wide). ● There is a separate repository for each puzzle. ○ Each repository is given a unique and non-guessable name (UUID) ○ Even if you guessed the repository name, the token wouldn’t work. ● Each puzzle page has a unique and non-guessable name, too. ● Checks are added to HTML forms AND workspaces. ○ For example, does the user have any guesses left? ○ That stops someone running the workspace manually. ● Page content is generated by FME (the back end).
