Data is considered the newest currency in the world full of information. Currently, an unprecedented
amount of data is generated every day which is approximately 325 million terabytes of data every day or
2.5 quintillion bytes of data every day by 2025. This is the age of data explosion, also known as the age
of big data.
As the amount of data generated is ever-expanding, it brings with it a lot of opportunities as well as
challenges. It has helped revolutionize businesses across industries and solve various business problems,
but also it has made it difficult to store, manage, process, and analyze huge amounts of data.

Data Science Market Future Outlook
Before we dive deep into the applications and possibilities of data science, we must understand where
this industry is going. Every market research firm has confirmed a positive growth of the data science
platform market. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of data scientists will
grow by 22% from 2020 to 2030 which is much faster than the average of other occupations.
Also, as per Allied Market Research, the global big data and business analytics market is projected to
reach exhibiting a CAGR of 11.6% from 2024. These figures indicate, that the
$665.7 billion by 2033
data science market is growing rapidly and is full of opportunities.

1. Revised Data Privacy Regulations
The European Union passed the famous General Data
Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018. Similarly, the
California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) was passed in

fundamental right of privacy of consumers is properly
maintained. Over the past few years, we have seen several

Data Scientists are hired to collect, process, and analyze
data to extract meaningful insights and assist in data-driven
decision-making. They need to augment a lot of their work
with data science automation tools. The US Bureau of Labor
Statistics has predicted that data science research is
expected to grow at 22% by 2030 and it indicates that in the
future, a lot of AI and automation tools will assist data
science professionals to automate and complete major
portions of their tasks easily. Also, there will be an increase
in the no-code platforms and low-code programs.

swipe, and scroll, generates data. While social media is a
great way to collect targeted data, with the rise in
internet technology several other platforms are growing
rapidly that are great data sources, such as gaming
platforms, discussion forums, social websites, etc.
5. The Age of Virtual Reality
In today's world, we see Artificial Intelligence (AI)
spreading everywhere, and companies are depending
on it more. Big data, with its new ideas, will grow even
more with advanced things like Deep Learning and
neural networking. Machine learning is now used in
almost every application. Virtual Reality (VR) and
Augmented Reality (AR) are changing a lot too. Also,
how humans and machines interact and depend on
each other is likely to get much better and more
common.
6. Updating Blockchain with
Data Science
The top technology for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is
called Blockchain. In this, data security will do its job well
by keeping detailed transactions safe and recorded. If
big data grows, the Internet of Things (IoT) will also
grow and become more popular. Edge computing will
handle data issues and fix them.
