  THE SEVEN PERIODSOF THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST Period One Period of Preparation Thirty years beginning upon the birth of Jesus (Emmanuel--God with us) and ends with His baptism by John the Baptism (God’s public introduction to Israel and declaration of Jesus as the Son of God). Prophecy of His Virgin Birth "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matt 1:22-23).

Prophecy of Jesus' Great Ministry "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears" (Luke 4:18, 21) .

Prophecy of the Coming Prophet and Consequences "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him“ (Deut 18:18-19).

Prophecy of Messiah's Rejection by Israel "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not" (Isa 53:3).

Prophecy of His Death "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isa 53:5).
