INTENTION 1
This scene is meant to show where Tom works and the type of
people that work here.
INTENTION 2
This scene is meant to show how Tom handles stress and
introduce the character to the audience. (in the bathroom)
INTENTION 3
This scene shows Tom giving a presentation in a meeting and
he’s very awkward and doesn’t know how to deal with people.
INTENTION 4
This scene shows Tom back at his desk really upset about how
the meeting went. This scene will also show how Tom is just
one of the many other workers and he there isn’t anything
different too separate him from the others. He is just one
of the many.
INTENTION 5
This scene introduces the audience into Tom’s personal life
and how messy his apartment is and how his life is
meaningless. During this scene Tom gets the voicemail from
his boss and gets completely wasted.
INTENTION 6
This scene is to show Tom drunk and at his boss’ house
shouting and throwing things at his house and car.
INTENTION 7
This scene is to show Monday morning as Tom is waking up
being hungover and trying to get dressed for work while
still a little bit drunk from the weekend of heavy drinking.

INTENTION 8
This scene shows Tom arriving at his office building and
gets in the elevator up to the his boss’ office which is on
the top floor. Feels like he’s going to be sick and jumps
out on the next floor and runs to the bathroom. He leaves
the bathroom and gets back in the elevator to continue his
ride up.
INTENTION 9
Tom is sitting in the reception office waiting to be called
into his boss’ office and he’s finally called in. Tom is
called into the office and awkwardly sits on one of the
chairs in front of his desk. The boss is sitting in his
chair and has a blank face so the audience can’t tell what’s
about to happen. Turns out Tom has gotten a promotion.
