Act Green!

The Problem?
 Communities around the United States
and world are creating a deadly
  environment to live in.
 Producing excess materials, polluting our
air and water, and misusing our resources
are some of the relevant issues in today’s
  society.
This is the problem.
Why Go Green?
 We need to conserve our natural
  resources
 Also, reduce the waste of water and
energy which is needed around the
  world.
 Using biodegradable products lowers the
amount of pollution and helps keep the
  planet clean.
The Area of Focus
 Think Clean, Act Green focuses on
  increasing individual’s recycling habits,
and enlarging the amounts of recycle in
  communities.
 Also, while giving focus to using less
energy at home, and becoming more
  nature friendly.
Who does this help?
 This small application is able to help the
community to begin with, as the
  popularity grows, recycling will become
more well sought after and the world as a
whole will develop great recycling skills.
 In the bigger picture, the whole world will
be able to benefit from a greener planet.
Ultimate Goals
 First,
       increase in local recycling, and
  recycle awareness in communities around
  the world.
 Second, an increase of popularity in
parks, bike trails, and hiking areas.
 Third, an increase in use of
  environmentally safe and waste
  conscious products.
Introduction
 Think Clean, Act Green (TCAG) is an
application designed for a tablet or touch
  screen telephone.
 Using simple mechanics, users with all
levels of skill will be able to navigate
through and learn the techniques and
  advantages of becoming more eco
  friendly.
How does this work?
 Thisapp offers multiple options containing
the knowledge needed to act green.
 From the opening interface users will be
able to click on icons directing them to
  the corresponding pages. These include,
  “Give Tips,” “Get Tips,” “Recycle,”
  “Explore,” and “Donate”
Give/Get Tips
 Simply give and receive advice about
becoming green and creating a healthier
  environment.
 To give a tip, users type into a text box
some advice they want to share with
other TCAG users. This advice will be
  reviewed, and displayed when approved.
 To get a tip, users just search the list of
  helpful advice for becoming green.
Examples
Recycle
 The recycle page encourages users to
improve their own recycling and also their
  local community's efforts.
 This application will use a location finder,
able to determine the closest recycling
  centers to the user.
Explore
 The explore page is meant to bring users
out doors and discourage the waste of
  electricity and energy.
 This section also uses a location finder to
search for near by parks, trails, and hikes.
 This supports local outdoor activities, and
also focuses on any location within biking
  distance to limit car use.
Donate
 The donate page is for users who feel
strongly enough about the cause that
they want to give some money to help
  local and even global foundations.
 Donations can also be made from
  collected recycling codes (discussed next).
Features
 A unique feature that TCAG will have is the
    incentive plan.
 Starting locally, recycle centers will
coordinate with TCAG ; each time a user
comes in and recycles they will receive a
code which will be placed into their TCAG
account. These codes can be collected and
    redeemed for coupons for environmentally
friendly products. (Such as Brita, re-usable
    bags, bamboo products, etc.)
Execution
 Thisapplication will be available world
wide, considering the importance of the
  issue.
 Attempts to encourage use from every
country will be made, and popularity will
continue until every one using this certain
media will access TCAG each day.
