  3 INTRODUCTION Coronavirus disease 2019is a respiratory condition that can spread from person to person. Symptoms are fever, cough, and shortness of breath and can appear in as little as two days or up to 14 days after exposure. Most people recover without the need for special treatment. The elderly and people with underlying medical problems, such as high blood pressure, heart problems, and diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illnesses.

  4 DEVELOPMENT 1) HOW COVID-19ORIGINATED: The name is made up of "co" for "corona", "vi" for "virus" and "d" for "disease", while 19 refers to the year in which this new outbreak arose, identified on December 31. Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that was discovered in the 1960s but whose origin is still unknown. Its different types cause different diseases, from a common cold to a severe respiratory syndrome or (a severe form of pneumonia). The new coronavirus detected in late 2019, causing COVID-19, in China shows a genetic sequence that coincides with that of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) in 80%. However, at first it seems less virulent and with a lower case fatality rate. On the other hand, its transmission has been much higher, it has already caused several thousand more cases than SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and, as a consequence, the number of deaths is also much higher. Cough, sneeze, or talk. Everything seems to indicate that the new coronavirus, COVID-19, also known as Wuhan coronavirus, has an animal origin. In fact, the first cases have been related to a live animal market in the city of Wuhan, in China. A multinational team of scientists concludes that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019, as a product of natural evolution. In analyzing public data on the SARS-CoV-2 genome sequence and related viruses, the researchers found no evidence that the coronavirus was produced in a laboratory or was otherwise designed as suspected.

  5 2) WHEN THEVIRUS ARRIVES FOR THE FIRST TIME TO HUMANS: Information is not handled when the virus first arrives in Humans due to the recent `pandemic.However, with the passing of the days we will already have that specific information, which if it is clearly known is that on December 31 of the year 2019, Chinese authorities alerted the World Health Organization to the outbreak of a new strain of coronavirus causing a serious illness, which was later named SARS-CoV-2. But the scientists found that the SARS-CoV-2 skeleton differed substantially from those of the known coronaviruses and mostly resembled the related viruses found in bats and pangolins. In the first of the scenario, the virus would have evolved to its current pathogenic state through natural selection in a non-human host and then would have jumped into people. This is how previous outbreaks of human coronavirus would have appeared by contracting the virus after direct exposure to civets (SARS) and camels (MERS). The researchers proposed bats as the most likely reservoir for SARS-CoV-2, since it is very similar to a bat coronavirus. However, there are no documented cases of direct bat-to-person transmission, suggesting that there probably could have been an intermediate host between bats and humans. In the first days of January 2020 the virus was concentrated in China and there were only 10 cases in other countries through air travel. At the end of January there were 10,000 cases in China and 129 outside. But in February several outbreaks were activated in South Korea, Italy, Germany or Spain. There are now confirmed cases in most of Asia, Australia, North America and Europe, which are growing exponentially. At the end of the month of March, the virus reached all the countries of the world, exceeding North Korea, which euthanizes the infected.

  6 3) SYMPTOMS ANDSIGNS OF COVID-19: The signs and symptoms of COVID-19 may appear 2 to 14 days after being exposed, and may include: • Fever • Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Other signs may be the following: • tiredness • General pain • Runny nose • Sore throat • Bluish discoloration of the lips or face • Constant pain or pressure in the chest If you experience these emergency warning signs or symptoms of COVID-19, seek medical attention immediately. The severity of COVID-19 symptoms can range from mild to severe. Some people have no symptoms. People who are elderly or have certain chronic conditions, such as heart or lung disease or diabetes, may be at higher risk of becoming seriously ill. This is similar to what is seen with other respiratory diseases, such as influenza. Some of the complications can be: • Pneumonia in both lungs • Insufficiency of various organs • Death

  7 4) MESSION TODO AND NOT DO IN CASES OF SUSPECT OR HAVE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19: There are several precautions that can be taken to reduce the chance of getting or spreading COVID-19: • Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently using an alcohol-based disinfectant or soap and water. Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using an alcohol-based disinfectant kills viruses that may be on your hands. • Keep a minimum distance of 1 meter (3 feet) between you and anyone who coughs or sneezes. Why? When someone coughs or sneezes, droplets of fluid that may contain the virus are released from the nose or mouth. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets and with them the COVID-19 virus, if the coughing person has the disease. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, the hands can transfer the virus to the eyes, nose, or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and cause illness. • Both you and those around you should make sure that you maintain good airway hygiene.That means covering your mouth and nose with your elbow bent or with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. The used handkerchief should be discarded immediately. Why? Viruses spread through droplets. By maintaining good respiratory hygiene, you are protecting people around you from viruses like the cold, flu, and COVID-19.

  8 • Stay homeif you are not feeling well. If you have a fever, cough, and shortness of breath, seek medical attention and call ahead. Follow the instructions of the local health authorities. Why? National and local authorities will have the most up-to-date information on the situation in their area. Calling ahead will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health center. This will also protect you and help prevent the spread of viruses and other infections. • Stay informed about the latest news regarding COVID-19. Follow the advice of your healthcare provider, relevant national and local health authorities, or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. Why? National and local authorities will have the most up-to-date information on whether COVID-19 is spreading in your area. They are the most suitable interlocutors to give advice on what people in your area should do to protect themselves. • Check the latest news on the most dangerous areas (that is, the cities and places where the disease is spreading most widely). If possible, avoid moving to these areas, especially if you are elderly or have diabetes, heart or lung disease. Why? These precautions should be taken in these areas because the probability of contracting COVID-19 is higher. Protective measures for people who are in areas where COVID-19 is spreading or who have visited them recently (in the last 14 days) • Follow the guidelines outlined above (Protective measures for all people) • Stay home if you start to feel ill, even if it is for mild symptoms such as headache, mild fever (37.3 oC or higher), and mild runny nose, until you recover. If you need to leave home or receive a visit (for example, to get food), put on a mask to avoid infecting other people. Why? Avoiding contact with other people and visits to medical centers will allow medical centers to work more effectively and help protect you and others from possible infections with the COVID-19 virus or others. • If you have a fever, cough, and shortness of breath, seek medical advice quickly, as it could be due to a respiratory infection or other serious condition. Call ahead and inform your health care provider of any recent trips you have made or any contact you have had with travelers. Why? Calling ahead will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health center. This will also help prevent the spread of viruses and other infections.

  9 5) DESCRIBE WITHYOUR OWN WORDS HOW YOU AVOID CONTAGING YOURSELF WITH COVID-19: In Our home we take the following measures. • Isolation and / or voluntary quarantine (We do not leave home) • Wash your hands frequently. • Do not touch your mouth, nose and eyes. • Clean and disinfect the house daily. • Use of mouth cover when other family members come home. • Only one member of the family goes shopping with mouth covers and gloves. 6) IMPORTANCE OF QUARANTINE: One of the preventive measures against COVID-19 is social distancing, Isolation or self-quarantine. Because the coronavirus is spread from person to person, having a distance of at least 6 feet between people is ideal. It is also recommended to avoid large groups. With quarantines we prevent and avoid contagion, we contribute to stopping the spread, we care for and protect our loved ones.

  10 CONCLUSION Currently, the mainrecommendation is to stay home because this is the most effective way to combat the spread of the coronavirus. This is especially important for people who believe they have been exposed to the virus, which has an incubation period of two weeks. Therefore, the recommendation of a 14- day quarantine. This does not mean that you cannot go out for exercise, go for a walk, or take a breath. If you are healthy, you can, but you must keep in mind that experts recommend keeping at least six feet away from other people. Likewise, the community is asked if they do not have to leave, do not do so and limit themselves to exits in cases of emergency.
