The Lord’s
    Prayer
Our Father
      Who art in Heaven
  Hallowed be Thy name
      Thy kingdom come
        Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
        Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive them who tresspass
                        against us
        Forgive us our trespasses
Our Father
      Who art in Heaven
  Hallowed be Thy name
      Thy kingdom come
        Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Our Lord lead us not into
                 temptation
       But save us from evil
And the kingdom, the power,
      And the glory forever
              Will be Yours
Our Father
      Who art in Heaven
  Hallowed be Thy name
      Thy kingdom come
        Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
To Be Alive
To be alive and feeling free,
And to have everyone in
our family,
To be alive in every way!
Oh, how great it is to be
alive!
Every day there’s newness,
Something else to do.
The dawn of life
is upon us,
So let the gladness ring
through.
To be alive and feeling free,
And to have everyone in
our family,
To be alive in every way!
Oh, how great it is to be
alive!
Wake up to a new
sunshine;
Darkness no longer stays.
For the new generation
Will light the world today.
To be alive and feeling free,
And to have everyone in
our family,
To be alive in every way!
Oh, how great it is to be
alive!
Tell the whole population,
The time has now arrived.
We must learn the
sensation
That comes with being
alive!
To be alive and feeling free,
And to have everyone in
our family,
To be alive in every way!
Oh, how great it is to be
alive!
Ring the bell of new
freedom,
Teach your brother to live.
For the real joy of living
Is something we can now
give!
To be alive and feeling free,
And to have everyone in
our family,
To be alive in every way!
Oh, how great it is to be
alive!

A musical reflection

  “Have Mercy” by Ordo
Jesus Christ, Son of God
Have mercy on me
Have mercy on me, a sinner

Unto your hands I commend my spirit
                         I give it to you
With all the love of my heart

We will not bring gifts that cost us
nothing before the Lord our God
A Reading from the Gospel
according to Luke
He also told this parable to some who trusted
in themselves that they were righteous and
regarded others with contempt: ‘Two men
went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee
and the other a tax-collector. The Pharisee,
standing by himself, was praying thus, “God, I
thank you that I am not like other people:
thieves, rogues, adulterers, or even like this
tax-collector.
The Parable of the Pharisee and
                    the Tax-Collector
                        Luke 18: 9-14
I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of all my
income.” But the tax-collector, standing far off,
would not even look up to heaven, but was
beating his breast and saying, “God, be merciful
to me, a sinner!” I tell you, this man went
down to his home justified rather than the
other; for all who exalt themselves will be
humbled, but all who humble themselves will
be exalted.’
The Parable of the Pharisee and
                    the Tax-Collector
                        Luke 18: 9-14
