This document discusses voltage stability in Nigeria's 330kV integrated 52-bus power network, utilizing pattern recognition techniques to detect voltage instability in advance of potential collapse. The authors implemented Regularized Least Squares Classification (RLSC) and Classification and Regression Trees (CART) for classifying voltage stable and unstable scenarios based on dynamic simulations. The study highlights the importance of maintaining system voltage levels under disturbances to prevent outages, and describes a systematic methodology for modeling, data processing, and classification of power system stability.
