This document presents a scientific study on cobalt-based alloys that incorporate tantalum carbides (TaC) for enhanced high-temperature mechanical performance. It details the preparation, chemical composition analysis, and thermodynamic evaluation of three specific alloys exposed to high temperatures, aiming to correlate Ta content in the matrix with the volume fraction of TaC. The findings reveal that the measured TaC mass fractions align closely with thermodynamic predictions, confirming the effectiveness of the study’s approach to evaluating alloy compositions and their structural integrity at elevated temperatures.
