IT SHALL BE OUR TOP PRIORITY TO EDUCATE ALL WARD RESIDENTS REGARDING THE SEGRREGTION AT SOURCE & ITS IMPORTANCE TO ACHIEVE THE REQUIRED STANDARD IN COMMUNITY CLEANLINESS. - 4. WET WASTE ORKITCHEN WASTE 4 WET WASTE Vegetable peels Fruit peels Tea leaves Coffee powder Flowers & leaves Left over food Pencil shaving Match sticks Hair Fruit Kernel Coconut shells No bones goes in this category.
- 5. Collection of wetwaste shall be done only once in a day. Specific collection time will be given to all the zones in ward 12 for collecting wet waste. Please be informed that once the schedule for waste collection is declared, please DO NOT keep your garbage out or alongside the road. A tag or a marker shall be provided to all the houses registered with us for easy identification of the houses by our door to door backpackers. The house hold can however place a wet waste bin outside their houses with properly covered lid. The backpackers shall take the wet waste directly from homes without the plastic bags No plastic bags are to be used to store or put away wet waste in front of the door or alongside the road. - 7. 7 WET WASTE OUTSIDEYOUR HOMEWET WASTE SHOULD ALWAYS BE KEPT IN A PROPER CONTAINER WITH A LID AND NEVER KEEP them UNCOVERED OUTSIDE IN THE OPEN

- 9. 9 E-WASTE DO’S &DON’TS E-WASTE should never be mixed with dry or wet wastes. A separate bin should be used FOR e-wastes.
- 10. 10 BIO HAZARD WASTE Biohazard wastes include : Bathroom wastes Diapers Sanitary Waste Condoms Human hair Animal waste & hair Syringes Shaving blades Finger nails Animal bones Dry clothes rags Old mops, Broken Crockery Old Shoes.

- 12. 12 HOUSEHOLD DRY WASTE PAPER PLASTICMETAL Paper Plates Bits of paper Shredded papers Carton boxes News paper Magazine Paper wrappers Toffee wrappers Paper glasses Waste packing materials Plastic bags Plastic toys Plastic utensils Cans & containers Plastic bottles Bubble wraps Milk pouches Curd pouches Other similar Aluminum foils Aluminum can & containers Bottle caps Tetra packs Thermacole cups, plates etc. Styrofoam packings Other similar. It is mandatory to rinse paper/plastic plates, glass etc and dried before discarding them to the Dry Bin.
- 13. 13 DISPOSAL OF DRYWASTE The dry waste are not collected everyday, but only twice or three days in a week as shall be decided by the project authorities. The waste shall be stored inside the house in a container / bin or in a common bin supplied by the authority outside, if available. Which in turn shall be collected by the backpackers from houses or from the common bin directly.
