Renee,

Below is the feedback from the presentations LTU did last week.  I know it was opened up for
comment at the end of each session but because it was also on the survey that was completed I
wanted to get to you anyway.

RESULTS
Overall the attendees were pleased with the presentations and the presenters.  The average score
for both was approximately a 4/5.  There were no overwhelming areas of improvement necessary.
There was only one statement with a less than neutral response – “The presenters were well
organized and prepared”.  That most likely corresponds to a comment made regarding using the
word “stuff” which was seen as unprofessional.   Otherwise there was very little variation in
responses.

a. Presentation
The two statements with the lowest average response were “The presentation is directly
applicable to my job” and “My knowledge and/or skills increased because of this
presentation”
The two statements with the highest average response were “The presentation was
concise and informative” and “The presentation contained practical examples and useful
techniques….”
The audience had an overall positive opinion of the presentation with 92% (46/50
responses of agree or strongly agree).  There was also very little deviation in responses.

b. Presenter
The statement with the highest average response was “The presenters were
knowledgeable about the topic and any related questions”
The audience had an overall positive opinion of the presentation with 94% (47/50
responses of agree or strongly agree).  There was also very little deviation in responses.
There was only one negative response where the attendee disagreed with the statement
“The presenters were well organized and prepared”

There was very little variation in across the entire survey with the average score of both the
presentation and presenter falling within one standard deviation of the overall average score of
3.96/5.  The audience also responded “agree” for 92% (83/90) of the survey, with 1/3 of the entire
survey receiving a response of “strongly agree”.  It does appear that the majority of the respondents
believed the presentation was applicable to their job and that the information provided was clear
and concise.  Unfortunately no conclusions can be drawn between the knowledge level of the
presenters and the learner experience but the high level of satisfaction across the board indicates
that it was well received.

ANALYSIS
1. Overall feeling was that the presentation was concise and informative with all the presenters
being well organized and maintaining everyone’s interest.
2. The lowest overall score was in the presentation - “My knowledge and/or skills increased
because of this presentation with an average score of 3.82/5.  This is likely due to the inability
to demonstrate understanding via MS Teams.
3. The highest overall score was with the statement “ The presenters were knowledgeable about
the topic and any related questions” at 4.18/5.
4. There were no clear indication of any problems with the presentation except for the lack of
capitalization of the word TRAIN in OhioTRAIN.  And the only issue noted with the presenters
was using the word “stuff” too many times.
5. General comments were:
a. There are a couple of places on the slides that have Ohio TRAIN mistyped. The word
“TRAIN” is a capitalized word  - presentation
b. Great information - presentation
c. The pace of this presentation, slide transition, visually appealing and the tone and the
pace of the presenter were easy to hear and concise – presentation
d. I believe I heard the word ""stuff" mentioned a time or two. Not very professional in my
opinion - presenter

RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Review the slides for any potential errors that may undermine the learner experience
2. Look to provide some sort of follow-up training that can focus on a “hands on” experience
that can reinforce what was learned in the presentation
