No.: PR/EA/Sep11/15/282 15 September 2011, Thursday Today’s Word “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2) Today’s Message STILL GOING ―Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.‖ (Colossians 3:23) T he Energizer Bunny can’t top the Service Partners of RBC Ministries. RBC, the publishers of Our Daily Bread, has a volunteer program called Service Partners that gives people the opportunity to donate their skills and time—helping us accomplish our mission ―to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all.‖ Some of the Service Partners are well past retirement age. Despite the aches, pains, and limitations of advancing age, they show up regularly and serve cheerfully at a variety of tasks. In 2009, they completed 100,000 hours in service since the program’s inception. They just keep going and going—not unlike the famous pink bunny. Their example is a reminder that there is no ―use by‖ date on our earthly lives. Scripture doesn’t designate a retirement age for believers. But there is an end product for our service—one unrelated to age. In describing the results of the efforts of ―pastors and teachers,‖ Paul says their purpose is to equip ―the saints for the work of ministry‖ (Eph.   4:12). And that―work of ministry,‖ which is the job of all believers, can lead to ―the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God‖ (v.13). This task should ―keep us going‖ for the rest of our lives. Start where you are in serving the Lord, Claim His sure promise and trust in His Word; God simply asks you to do what you can— He’ll use your efforts to further His plan. Young or old—God can use you if you’re willing. **************** To begin our prayer time together, we ask you to repeat this prayer with us each day... “O gracious and heavenly Father, in name of Jesus Christ I pray for Pastor Jim and Rajiv and every member of their families and the entire staff of Global Harvest Church and Well Fortified Intercessors Army and their families. Lord keeps them safe from all the evil powers and no harm should come to them and every one who are working in the ministry. Lord Jesus guides each step and shows the right path on which they will take. Dear Father God you have called them to do your will. Protect them and guide them in whatever they do. I pray shower your blessings on them so that they will be able to fulfill the work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father God give them strength and power and health. My heavenly Father keeps them away from all kinds of dangers and gives them shelter under your wings. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command a hedge of protection to be around their home and property today and I ask that warrior angels sent by the you true Father God would be placed to stand guard at any holes that might be in that hedge. I place the full armors of God on them, and I ask that the light of the Lord Jesus shine through them this day. In the name of Jesus I ask-Amen” Pray specifically today for people you know who need to know the saving and healing power of Jesus Christ in their lives. Many people are suffering – spiritually, emotionally, and physically – let us stand before our Mighty God today on their behalf! Pray for the partners and supporter of Global Harvest Church and Well Fortified Intercessors Army: ―Heavenly Father I pray the blood of Jesus over all the partners and supporters of Global Harvest Church and Well Fortified Intercessors Army as a covering and hedge of protection against the wiles of the enemy and I pray for your blessing and favor to be upon them.
