What have I learnt about
technologies from the process of
   constructing my product?
Photography
• I have learnt that you must take
many shots before you find the perfect
   one.
• The front cover shot is very important and takes many
attempts. You must be very careful with the angles that you
take the photo from, and the setting in which the
  model/object is photographed.
• The mis en scene such as costume, makeup and setting,
play a huge part in making the photo work and look good.
The 'rule of thirds' is also important in making the photo
aesthetically pleasing to the audience, and I have tried to
enforce this rule myself in order to produce a good photo.
Photoshop/InDesign
• In both of these, I have learnt how to
create the basics of a magazine. I now know
how to get hold of a more diverse range of
fonts by downloading them from the site,
“dafont”. I also know how to change the
dynamics of photos, and have learnt how to
use ‘layers’ through lots of practice in
  photoshop.
Previously, I made the magazine but decided that
it didn’t work so I started again. By doing this I
believe that I improved the outcome and made
the magazine in a better way, using more
sophisticated conventions. I found it hard to work
out a certain theme for my magazine, and took a
long time to find the right font and colour
scheme. To overcome this, I carried out certain
trials of fonts and colour schemes to see what
they looked like combined.
