Maximo 7.6 – Overview
The IBM Maximo Asset Management V7.6 product family provides comprehensive asset lifecycle management and maintenance management functionality that helps
organizations improve asset life and lower cost of ownership. It offers a new user experience, advanced analytical insights through IBM Cognos workspaces, an option to
run a multitenant environment, and mobile device access.
Builds on the foundation of capabilities, providing asset intensive organizations in manufacturing, facilities, transportation, oil and gas, and energy and utilities the tools
to better manage their work, assets, and service delivery. The requirements driving content in Maximo Asset Management V7.6 have been built based on client and
industry-driven needs.

Administrators can create multiple similar KPIs using a new KPI template application, leveraging a variable within the SQL.

Bundled entitlement to IBM Cognos Business Intelligence V10.2.1 and workspace content integrated in to Maximo.
Crew management for more flexible scheduling options.
Service addresses for locations and assets so they can be displayed on a new map control.

• IBM have delivered a Cognos 10.2.1 implementation as part of V7.6.
• This complements the BIRT reporting option and includes a number of
Business Intelligence packs (sets of reports) to allow users to see more
management type reports.

• Maximo now includes a separate KPI viewer application to see the KPIs, so that start centres can load more quickly.
• In addition, the information centre help system is being replaced by the Knowledge Centre, which provides better search facilities and
easier ways to group favorite articles together
• BIRT has been upgraded to 4.3.1, allowing it to take advantage of improvements in the BIRT engine.
• New features have also been added to help identify runaway reports and help cancel them, whilst user built query based reports now
include the ability to include summaries/calculations in the output, rather than having to export the raw data into Excel.
• IBM have delivered a Cognos 10.2.1 implementation as part of V7.6.

If you are planning to upgrade to 7.6, your Maximo 7.5 will need to be at the Maximo fix pack 7.5.0.11 level before upgrading to version 7.6. Additionally,
there is no direct upgrade from earlier versions of Maximo v6 to Maximo 7.6.
Below is the current upgrade path:
If your deployment of Maximo has more than one product , Industry Solution, or add on installed, all must be installed to 7.6 before the deployment of
Maximo 7.6 can be completed.
