The wines are alcoholic tannin
• Tavel
Sandy soil in this region helps in making very good rose
Chalky soil helps in giving very good Champagne
It is meant to be drunk within two years of Vintage

• Nantais District:
white wine from Muscadet grapes
• Anjou Saumur District:
Anjou produces rose wines from cabernet grapes and is marketed as
Cabernet d Anjou Rose.
• Touraine District:
vineyards surround the city of Tours
Wines from this district are light and honeyed character. The best of the
wines have unusual ability to improve in the bottle for fifty years.
• Central Vineyards:
Sancerre and Pouilly Fume coming from here are made from Sauvignon
Blanc. They have a distinct aroma and drunk young.

• Vengdage Tardive means that the grapes have been harvested late in the
season so that the wines will have more concentrated sweetness.
