I actually started my career working for a major fashion house in New York. The official title was Assistant Manager Imports. I still shy away from mentioning this because I was also a model for the same fashion house. On my return in 1987 and before I finally started working with IDC, my career was a collage of experiments. Some were abject failures, some borderline successes. But the never-say-die spirit coupled with a burning desire to succeed kept me going; sometimes I wonder if I even had a choice.
