About
I am a Lecturer in History in the School of Humanities. I specialise in the social and cultural history of the late antique and early Medieval Mediterranean, particularly Spain. I’ve worked on history-writing, identity, education, cultural memory, and violence in this period and am currently developing a project on the role of violence in education from 100-700 CE. In terms of teaching, I’m particularly interested in the role of active and inquiry-based pedagogies in higher education.
