Code of Conduct

The University of Minnesota Press is committed to a workplace culture that cultivates and sustains mutual respect and equity in our collaborative work. We expect and require professional conduct that adheres to these values from everyone with whom we work: authors, volume and series editors, consultants, and vendors. The safety and well-being of our team members are our highest priorities and the Press will not tolerate any form of abuse, discrimination, or harassment among staff members or from any of our outside partners. Staff members who experience or witness such conduct are asked to bring it to the immediate attention of a member of the Press management team.

Statement on Social Responsibility in Publishing

The University of Minnesota Press is committed to amplifying marginalized voices and challenging the status quo within a publishing industry that continues to perpetuate broad patterns of discrimination. We orient ourselves toward equity, prioritizing responsiveness to our interconnected literary and scholarly communities around the world. Every publication is a partnership involving nuanced considerations, and we believe in the necessity of open communication throughout the publishing process. The University of Minnesota Press brings this ethos of reciprocity to our collective work each day.
