  • Thriving Thursdays | Congratulations to the FLDP Cohort in Uganda!  The Frontline Leadership Development Programme (FLDP) is a key initiative by CCBA in Uganda, designed to empower and develop employees, helping them advance in their careers while fostering a robust leadership talent pipeline for the organisation.  This year, Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda launched the third cohort, comprising 16 employees who have embarked on a transformative journey focused on learning and growth. Through the FLDP, participants engage in specialised learning programmes conducted by the Country Management Team (CMT) and guest industry experts. The training focuses on developing essential skills, such as transitioning from team member to team leader, alongside other critical leadership competencies.  #ThrivingThursdays

  • Coca-Cola Kwanza hosts Minister of Trade  Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd proudly hosted the Minister of Industry and Trade, Dr Seleman Said Jafo (MP) at its Dar es Salaam facility.   • 3,000 elders feel the warmth of belonging this Ethiopian New Year  Thousands of residents of the Mekedonia Home for the Elderly celebrated the Ethiopian New Year with a hearty meal provided by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa-Ethiopia.     Founded in 2010, Mekedonia is a charitable organisation that supports elderly people and individuals with mental disabilities who have no means of supporting themselves. This year, CCBA in Ethiopia partnered with Mekedonia to feed 3,000 residents - marking the second time the company has supported the charity during New Year celebrations.     “In Ethiopian culture, elders are deeply revered. They are the keepers of our traditions, stories, and wisdom.   • University graduates sharpen skills with support from Coca-Cola Beverages Africa A group of 116 graduate students from Ambo University has completed Project Elevate — a training programme supported by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa-Ethiopia.   Delivered by professional trainers, experts from CCBA, and university professors, the training focused on entrepreneurship and employability, equipping students with the tools to thrive in today’s job market.   “We are committed to operating with integrity, creating shared value for our business and the communities we call home,” said Managing Director at CCBA in Ethiopia, Melkamu Abebe.  “The training has been highly valuable in equipping graduates with essential skills to enhance their employability,” added Dr. Solomon Alemu Tolla of Ambo University.   CCBA in Ethiopia is also known for its prestigious Graduate-in-Training (GIT) programme which has been nurturing new talent by recruiting graduates from universities across the country for over 15 years. This year, the company welcomed 34 graduates into the GIT programme, a comprehensive 12- to 18-month training initiative designed to equip participants with the skills and experience needed to excel in their careers.   • Sales representatives up their skills with training from CCBA  Over 400 Distributor Sales Representatives, including drivers, who form part of the Coca-Cola distribution network, upgraded their sales and customer service skills through a training programme provided by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa-Ethiopia    The participants, employed by official Coca-Cola distributors, received training in basic sales techniques, effective communication, customer service, product knowledge, the order process and workplace safety, with the aim of enhancing customer service and their sales skills.
