This is the first episode of what will become a bi-weekly series of stories on the #Dutch #maritime #history. 🙏 I want to give a shout out to Mariana Candella, who -quite some years ago- told me to share some of my history stories after she had been listening to one of mine historical deliberations over a dinner of the KNVTS Amsterdam board. And one to Tracy Bryant for insisting this was a good idea. She had to leave our team recently because she had to -sadly for all of us- go back to her home country USA, but this is how her legacy lives on 😉
