There are several memory leaks in regparse.c. They all relate to incomplete pattern branches, where a branch node is not freed when branch parsing is aborted. I appreciate the elegance of Yehuda's proposal, but I think I have to agree with David Black's assessment that it is a solution looking for a problem. It's not like its very hard to put the four letters 'proc' before the opening curly brace to disambiguate this case. Also, it seems to me that a change of this magnitude should be targeted at Ruby 2.0, not dropped into a point release like 1.9.2! David Flanagan
