The Issue
The Oceanside Regal plaza has been in downtown Oceanside for years, home of many business's that employs many people in the down area, and home of some Oceanside staples like the Regal cinema.
Oceanside developers want to destroy the plaza for a 75-foot-tall residential building. Everyone in the plaza will lose their jobs and businesses, and Downtown Oceanside will lose one of it's greatest landmarks.
The plaza is still open, nothing is happening to it yet, but on October 1st they are having a continuation meeting to discuss the proposal and hopefully move it forward. I plan to attend this meeting and speak, using this petition to show that Oceanside locals do not want this! There is still time, we must act now before it's too late!

I’ve lived in Oceanside 35 years and have come to love the quaint, classy downtown area and plaza thanks to good sited politicians(past?). Please dont succumb to developers and greed(revenue/taxes) by razing this building for any other use. It’ll change the character of downtown Oceanside, forever in a negative manner.
