Will Globe Map Be Re-Added to Power BI Visual Store

Was so excited to use Globe Map in a Power BI project of mine. Sad to find out it's no longer in the Visual Store?

I totally get your excitement about the Globe Map visual in Power BI! As of now, the Globe Map visual is not available in the official Power BI Visual Store anymore.

Often, visuals are removed when they are outdated, no longer supported, or have critical issues. Sometimes, if a visual relies on third-party services or APIs, changes in those services cause the visual to break or require redevelopment.

There’s no official announcement from Microsoft about re-adding the Globe Map visual to the store. If it returns, it would likely be as a new or updated version.

Alternatives you can try:

Azure Maps visual: A powerful native mapping visual from Microsoft with good 3D and globe-like features.

Custom visuals: Check the marketplace for other visuals that support globe or 3D mapping.

You can raise a feature request or upvote existing ones on the Power BI Ideas forum to show Microsoft demand for a Globe Map or similar 3D globe visuals.
