Power Query always adding the whole forumlar suggestion

Hi,

when I start typing a formular power query starts to make a suggestion to complete the formular. However it always adds the whole formular instead of overwriting what i already typed out:

When I hit enter its not deleting "Table" what I already type but just adds the whole formular:

How can I prevent this?

Thanks!

1. don't type dot (".")

2. start typing just several characters + tab to get full function name: e.g. "tbcoln"

Hi @HR3038511,

Thank you for reaching out to the Fabric support community.

The suggestion provided by @AlienSx, is correct. To avoid the issue of Power Query appending the full function name instead of replacing what you've typed, try the following approach:

  • Don't type the dot ( . ) manually โ€“ Instead, just start typing your table variable (e.g., tablebcolumn).
  • Use a few characters Plus TAB to autocomplete โ€“ Typing the first few letters and pressing TAB will select the correct function without duplicating text.

If this post helps, then please give us โ€˜Kudosโ€™ and consider Accept it as a solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

Thank you.
