The Science & Startups team of Hydro-Berlin combines deep expertise in hydrogeology, sustainability, and digital transformation. With their project ENOLA, they’re addressing one of the most urgent challenges of our time: securing water resources in a climate-stressed world. From groundwater lows to flood events – Hydro Berlin is working on smart, data-driven solutions for the future of water. “Hydro Berlin combines deep scientific expertise with real-world impact. They truly deserve a spot at the top!” - Philipp Heinicke. The team of Blueprint Biomed is a spin-off at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin supportet by Science & Startups. Their resorbable biomaterial implants support natural bone healing without extra surgery or costly additives, making treatment simpler and more effective. A big step forward for patient-friendly, efficient healthcare solutions! 💡 Special applause also goes to Earthbound from Technische Universität Berlin who didn’t just win hearts – they won both the Audience Award and the Sustainability Award. Our warmest congratulations also go to the winner of the main jury award: Maren Brede, who’s on a mission to reinvent the bakery trade. A collaboration between the Berlin Institute of Health and BioLabs, CLIC is designed to bridge research and application — offering startups access to clinical infrastructure, regulatory and business support, and a thriving innovation community. ✨ The energy at our 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 was something special. Epithelica is developing CRISPR-based stem cell therapies for chronic skin diseases and advancing through Go-Bio Next. Teneura is engineering T cell therapies for neurodegeneration, with patents filed and in vivo testing underway. Blueprint Biomed is building a platform for bone regeneration and has incorporated after winning multiple national innovation awards. MyImmune is redefining immune diagnostics with AI-based tools that outperform existing benchmarks in cancer and autoimmune diseases. 💡 This is what early-stage excellence looks like. 🏆 Honored to share that Blueprint Biomed placed 3rd in the third and last phase of the Science4Life e.V. Venture Cup 2025, the largest business plan competition in Germany for Life Sciences, Chemistry, and Energy. This year the competition was extremely high, with other 94 applicants. This was an excellent opportunity to stress-test our business model. After taking home the idea and concept phase, this was the last step.
