Belias is a demonic Hell priest who is a minor character in Doom: The Dark Ages. Described as a "sagacious keeper", he acts as an advisor to Prince Ahzrak. He chronicles all the activities of the prince—both successes and failures—and reports them directly to the infernal High Council.

History

Belias first appears during the attack on Khalim, taking account of the progress of the Horde there in attempting to acquire the Heart of Argent. He accuses the Witch, also present at the attack, of wasting their time once again, stating that the Doom Slayer will be swiftly at hand to thwart the effort.

After the inevitable failure of this attack, Belias is present in Prince Ahzrak's fortress, where he takes the prince to task for his continued deliberation with the Witch, whom he labels an outsider, accusing her of carelessly exploiting Hell's Horde while bearing none of the associated risk. He declares in a sardonic tone that he will be reporting the prince's "progress" to the Council, which effectively serves as a threat to Ahzrak, since the Council, consisting of the Archdemons, is said to pass merciless judgment.

At the end of Reckoning, Belias is seen silently watching from afar as Ahzrak's carrier crashes into the surface of Hell, before walking away with two Agaddon hunter bodyguards.
