The ENDOOM Mapping Contest 2025 was an event organized by endoomer, a member of LegacyZ and the Russian Doom Community, on Doom Power forum.[1] The task was to create a brand new level in a decent period of two and a half months on a certain theme, using any suitable resources, formats and source ports.

Registration opened on March 9, 2025, and closed on March 16, 2025. Shortly after that, all 51 registered participants recieved three unique themes each, 153 themes total. The themes were created in style of level titles, and the participants were asked to develop only one of three in free form, using them as a source of ideas for their work.

The map creation period lasted from March 16, 2025, to June 1, 2025. The total prize pool was $765. The 1st place winner received $190, 2nd - $165, 3rd - $140, 4th - $115, 5th - $90, 6th - $65.

Only 27 out of 51 participants submitted their works for the contest. Two of them were late, but still managed to submit their levels 24 hours after the deadline with a penalty (their names are marked in purple).

After the deadline, in a two-week period from June 4, 2025, to June 13, 2025, the host of the event (endoomer) played through all the levels of applicants on his YouTube channel[2] and evaluated each of them according to his own criteria. Then, on June 28, 2025, he determined the winners and awarded them cash prizes.

Archive of works[edit]

On July 10, 2025, the final pack of all the works was released on Doom Power[3] and Doomworld forums.[4] The archive contains all levels of the contest as of June 1, 2025, and Readme files for each of them, describing their formats, complevels, required source ports and some other information.

The topics on the forums are being supplemented with links to new versions of levels made after the end of the contest. The main archive itself will remain unchanged and contain only contest versions of the levels.
