Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 11:28AM

Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 2.06%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 2.06%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(up 1.95%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 1.33%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(up 1.08%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 0.65%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 0.59%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 0.57%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(up 0.53%) and AWL Agri Business Ltd.(up 0.44%) were among the top gainers.

Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 4.25%), Dangee Dums Ltd.(down 2.62%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(down 1.96%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(down 1.35%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 0.97%), Hindustan Foods Ltd.(down 0.95%), LT Foods Ltd.(down 0.94%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(down 0.84%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(down 0.79%) and Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(down 0.77%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 27.86 points down at 25062.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 19.2 points at 82181.14 at around 11:28AM.

Eternal Ltd.(up 8.43%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.47%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.79%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.71%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.7%), Trent Ltd.(up 0.44%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.38%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.37%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.36%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.34%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Jio Financial Services Ltd.(down 1.68%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.66%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.63%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.54%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.48%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.44%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.39%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.35%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.13%) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.04%) were trading in the red.
