I liked the vibe this one gave out, the retro-futurism was strong in it. The movement was a bit on the slow side, but having a relatively small map, and being able to keep forward pressed made it maybe even a good choice as you tried to get away from the robots in the hallway.
It was a bit, or rather very, hard to know what to do. I know there was a long list of steps on the page but unfortunately as I was about to check that out I got cornered and killed.
Play-through:
Unfortunately there's no macos build, even if the itch.io page states it so. I'll try play it on my Steamdeck.
No windows port? That is a shame. If you can´t build for windows, you should at least have a web version. I can´t play your game :(
It was definitely a visually atmospheric experience. I really loved the ceiling lamps, the lighting setup.
But it was really confusing, thanks for providing the pointers on the itch page, they were helpful. Though I didn’t understand how it’s intended to figure out where Janitor, Security Officer or Kevin are, I just did it randomly and it kind of worked in the end. I wish you just had a simple text on the doors saying “Janitor” or “Security”, that would’ve helped a lot.
I also got the screwdriver couple of times randomly, by walking.
After beating (?) the water bot I’ve got the cup, but wasn’t able to see the win screen, but I guess I’ve completed the game?
Here’s my play-through (I skipped a part, as I forgot to press record on it):
Ran this on my linux netbook and it worked really well.
I loved the art style (the walls, ceiling etc worked perfectly with the enemies). Music was good too.
Miss Stirwell was fantastic and I loved the hand drawn style (we also both went for demanding female bosses :).
I had to read the instructions to work out what to do.
It spins up my gpu to 100% for no reason, couldn't try it out because of that. Maybe add vsync to avoid creating space heaters, lol
I cant seem to find the app to launch after downloading and extracting (doesn't seem to be in the zip file either). What is the name of the app file?
After I got the cup of water, the boss never appeared. But I won in spirit because I made WaterBot look foolish in front of the sexiest guy at the office, Kevin.
