When I play jam games I read the description last in order to get a feeling for intuitivity. And it only took me some seconds to get what the game wants me to do. And I really like your take on the theme: Combining Snake with a shooter is really cool.
But I wasn't sure if my shootings were actually having any impact. Some feedback on the enemies would be nice. Also after reading I wasn't having the feeling that my own shooting does much and having a chain of "followers" would anyway be far more helpful.
Overall a really great submission and I think your game idea could totally scale up to a bigger game :-)
