My obligations would be full, but gradual removal of AI generated art assets. The investment would be solely used for the replacement of AI assets with human-created art and the facilitation of that specific process (ie, hiring and funding artists). If all assets are replaced and funds from the investment remain, the remaining amount may be used to produce/procure more human-made artwork. If there is no further need for art but funds remain, the remaining balance may be used for other aspects of game development.
In short, I'd paid for you guys to get human-created, handmade images. You'd replace the AI "art" with human work as often as you get it. Whatever money you have left is pretty much up to you to use, so long as you don't include AI art assets in future builds.
You know, the more this project goes on, the more I'm convinced that this game wasn't actually meant to have erotic elements involved in it.
The voice acting, setting, sound design and overall presentation don't lend themselves to themes of sexuality to the same degree as most other eroge. That's not a complaint, mind you, just an observation. It feels like you want to tell a legitimately amazing story but felt the need to tack on some sexy stuff to ensure it got the attention it deserved. Again, not an insult. Personally, however, I think this could stand on its own merits. It's an interesting premise, all its own.
I like the concept a lot! A mix between Rimworld and X-com.
Current build AI is aggravating though. Keeping food on the table is ridiculously hard. When hungry, pawns only grab 1 item out of a stack. Couple that with the most ravenous rabbits and chickens in gaming history, by the time the Pawns eat and come back, half a stack of food is already gone. Not to mention, the members of your squad have to stand and contemplate the meaning of life for 15 in-game minutes before actually picking something up, giving greedy woodland critters ample opportunity to queue up like they're waiting at Starbucks.
The Pawns just don't start at their tasks promptly. Even when they only have 3 major tasks assigned to them. Needs work.
Loving the game so far! 0.5 brought a lot of amazing and well-implemented content!
I have a few suggestions/ideas for future updates. These ideas would give the player a higher goal to achieve, other than getting super strong.
Player House: For like 50,000 copper, the player could buy a house in town. It would be empty at first, requiring the player to grind money in order to purchase upgrades.
Bed: One of the major upgrades would be a bed. It would allow the player to fully heal. It would cost upwards of 1k copper but, in the long term, it would be cheaper than going to the temple every time. Furthermore, special sex scenes could take place between Camille and their Companions.
Require re-hiring of Companions: As they are relatively cheap to hire, I think it would be more interesting to have to rehire the Companions after the player returns to town. After reaching a certain Disposition, they'd charge less and eventually join you for free.
Companion/Guest Beds: Lets the Companions lodge in Camille's house. Adds more gravity to the Companions Disposition, as they'd only accept an invite once they were friends with Camille.
