Sometimes, we all just need a bit of positivity ;)

I played for a while longer yesterday and still enjoyed the time. I agree with the commenter mentioning the very easy gameplay, a bit more of a difficulty curve until you feel like you are a force  to be reconed with might be a good route. As in: It's easy to idle on a stage you already leveled yourself up for and equipped stuff, but once you step into another level, things get a bit harder again, giving more of a challenge. One of the main reasons I like idles is the progression of feeling weak to hitting a wall and overcoming it, then coasting along for a while enjoying the newfound power until the next challenge comes up.

I also found some other bug: once you toggle all the filter options on, no matter if you toggle them off, they stay on. Or maybe, I really did not loot a single thing for two hours afterwards - which feels like that shouldn't be true ;) The first time I was at the smith and wanted to dust my superfluous equipment also did not work on first try, no matter which filter I used.

The trader is as frustratingly fun as I remember those reroll-traders from Diablo :D It's good to have another way to use the tier resources (and became my only way to get loot thanks to the filter bug).

When I keep this open in a browser window, the game seems to run out of enemies to fight. I came back to the tab after working on a project and my character stood in an empty room. Had to leave it to get any meaningful amount of enemies back

And I think saving doesn't work yet? Which I only saw this morning, which doesn't make this a great start into the day ;) (granted, I only saw the warning after I reloaded it. Maybe put that on the pause menu, too?) I seemed to have kept the things in my inventory, but levels reset and the tutorial greeted me again (which I liked, btw, and I've been playing since the early 90s, too. It's quite short and gives a quick overlook, then is done in a matter of moments. I think you handled that well, even though I'm not too much of a fan of the "click here" tutorial myself.) Loading a save on the web version also seemed to have kept the "dust everything" filters I toggled at an earlier point and can't go back on now.

I downloaded the game today instead and please, add an options menu for screen resolution. I accidentially opened it on my vertical monitor and it's now stuck that way ;D

Hope, you are getting plenty of feedback and playtesters to work with!

I am still in the first room with the skeleton as of writing this, but it already feels fun! The heartblood you poured into this is obvious right from the start and you have some really good looking UI elements in there (right next to those which will probably get another pass down the line ;D) Idling feels nice and punchy, loot speaks of adventures and skills to develop once I leave the starting area. I typically would wait a long time when it comes to writing feedback, but it's very rare I'm hooked this early when it comes to idle games. Well done, I'm looking forward to more!

Hi!

I have been creating Unity UI tutorials for about three years at this point and now start to create written guides to go alongside them.

I started by creating the guide for Scroll Rects - it includes detailed explanations, four different use cases with walkthroughs, scripts and project files.

This one contains use cases for:

  • A scrollable text box, optionally with a script to check if the player has scrolled to the end
  • A mockup of a scrollable inventory to showcase how you can jump to specific locations inside the scroll rect (for example by jumping to specific slots)
  • A zoom- and pinchable map for the player to explore
  • A content carousel you can fill with any kind of news/messages/infos you like

You can find it here: https://christinacreatesgames.itch.io/scroll-rects-the-unity-ugui-guide

I hope, it will be useful to you 💛

Do you love loopings? Do I have a game for you!

TrackSanity a single player racing game with multiple tracks full of cool obstacles like loopings, slaloms, gravity-defying curves and your ghost to race against.

Race through three tracks and try to best your own best times!

Download it here for free (or pay whatever you want):

Thank you so much!

Hope you will enjoy it =)!

Thank you so much for playing it! I'm slowly watching your video and thank you so much for all the praise 💛 It's amazing watching people play and enjoy my game, and now even from the other side of the world? This is so far beyond what I had hoped for. Great video 💛!

Hah, awesome :D! Thank you for making a video about it! Your search for the beavers had me chuckling, you managed to always look right past them :D! They are actually very, very close to the person asking you to take a photo. But it looks like you enjoyed your hike 💛

This is so awesome, thank you for the video and feedback! I enjoyed watching you guys play a lot and took a couple notes for a patch ;) Hope you two will go on many more great adventures together!

Thank you :D! Glad you enjoyed it!

Down the Mountain

Down the mountain is a relaxing photography game set on a mountain with lots of different animals to see and take photos of. It's the perfect length for a cozy evening. You'll hike along a winding path through different biomes, meet other hikers and take photos. There are no spiders on this mountain ;)

Get it here for pay-what-you-want: https://christinacreatesgames.itch.io/down-the-mountain

Take photos like these

Thank you so much :D!

This was fun! Loved the voice over, that sounded pleasant and high quality (I don't understand the language, though). Some UI elements felt too big and blurry, but the background art is nice and the drawn elements look very good. The slight "plop" when taking a sprite and slotting it somewhere felt good and the mechanic of growing the roots was unexpectedly chill and fun =)!

Very cool art, the music fits well and I really enjoy the general vibe of it :D!

Wow, that is amazing feedback, thank you!
Yeah, the zebra tiles are actually the enemy "baseline" attack against you :D Thus they are a nuisance to remove. They need better explaining for sure👍A heartbeat for the metronome sounds great, and an indicator of "hey, you managed to click on the beat!" is something I really need to add to make it more visible. Good pointers on the translations, I'll have to check up which are the most often used versions for those ;) I have taken a look into loading screens and screen transitions, they sadly didn't get the time they needed :| Will include them once I can flesh out this project more agian :)!

In Witches of the Flow, earth gets attacked by demons from outer space and you fight back after some strange crystal granted you magical powers! Delete matching colored blocks to the beat to the music for stronger attacks and show those demons that earth is not without protectors!

It currently has two levels with different powers to give a try, two short dialogue scenes and is playable in English and German on Mac, Linux and PC.

Seeing as this is a prototype, you would absolutely make my day by leaving a comment and/or feedback! I want to expand on this and turn it into a full game and make it into the best version it can be 💛

Hope you'll enjoy it 💛

Tough as nails for me, but fun =D! Later levels look very cool and I enjoyed the mechaninc =D!

The popcorning is such a cute addition :D!

That is so awesome, thank you very much!

Oh, the graphics look really neat! I like the slight chromatic abberation going on. Quite challenging, but fun!

Thank you so much for giving it a try. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for the feedback :D! I'll get the bugs sorted out and see what comes after then

Oh, this was cool. The working together aspect was well executed and it somehow worked really well for me to navigate with both characters at the same time using one keyboard. Well done!

Only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the chromatic abberation, that made me feel a bit squeezy, but I enjoyed playing anyway.

Very cool idea for a game =D! I agree with Piti on maybe trying to make the helping a bit more engaging by having to click or perform something simple while hovering - hovering alone was a bit simple for five minutes ;) But the art is neat and it worked well 👍

Hi there =D!
Thank you so much for giving Maximus a try. I am sorry to hear the obstacles gave you a hard time ;) Honestly, some rooms are a bit rough for me, too :D Good luck on your next run!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it

Hi!

Yesterday, I published my game Maximus Jones, today it got a couple needed bugfixes. I would love for you to have give it a look and play!

https://maraan.itch.io/maximus-jones

The Story

In a world of usually tiny problems, disaster has struck! The guinea pigs’ hoard of delicious peaflakes has dwindled to a pitiful amount! But the box holding the beloved food is standing locked on a shelf, mocking the herd's need for tasty treats. There is only one way to solve the problem – some brave guinea pig will have to venture out and get their owner! This is the story of Maximus Jones! With the name of a hero and the heart of a guinea pig, he is an adventurer extraordinaire.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the fluffy potatoes, their owner has been inadvertently trapped in an ancient Egyptian tomb. Will Maximus save the day? Will the guinea pigs get their peaflakes? Find out in Maximus Jones!

More images and infos on Maximus Jones' itch page!
Hope to see you soon

Thank you so much, Piti =)!

Spear launchers are still on my list for an upcoming patch, but first I wanted to get the rough bugs out of the way. I was mostly successful in 1.1, I'd say, though the dungeon generation and respawning will still need some work and refining.

Yep, the enemies are dumb as rocks. The beetles will run after you if you get too close, but I'll need to find a good balance of where to better place them and how to make them still beatable :) It's on the list ❤️

Oh, this looks like a game I would enjoy immensly! The art style is really good and the animations look neat :) Will there be an english localization?

Gave it a try and enjoyed it!

The music was a good choice. The heart-character looks adorable. The sorting of mails and the passwort-cracking events were novel to me in this kind of... I'd say tower defence style of game and I actually enjoyed them for their novelty :)! The Upgrade-Animations made me smile, they looked very neat. The text didn't fly by too fast and starting a new game was a quick effort, since clicking through your dialogue was so quick. Oh, and of course, the actual tower-defence-style of gameplay worked really well, too :) No strange effects, no random "everybody dies", the behaviour was clearly shown beforehand and the attackers are varied enough as well in style as in attacks.

In my opinion, there are only very few minor issues: I had a bit of a hard time finding the correct range to build stuff away from other buildings. The Upgrade and Demolish-Buttons were available sooner than the tutorial told me and I demolished a couple buildings by accident because I realized I had build my towers in the wrong direction for the next attack :D I would have liked to be able to rotate the firewalls a bit, but two buttons were good, too.

It's worth to give it a download and play it for a while :)!

Thank you so very much! I am so glad you enjoyed it. Muchas gracias!

Awesome visuals and a great soundtrack, too!

This made me smile so much! The first couple of throws I thought "yeah, this is neat" but then I got the angle juuuust right and the effect absolutely had me laughing for quite a while. Adorable style and very cute presentation!

Oh my, this is exactly what I have been searching for for such a long time. Thank you so much, these sounds are amazing and incredibly well recorded, documented and sorted. There are so many variaties that it's enough for my whole game, so I don't need to mix-and-(not)match from dozenz of sources anymore. I will most likely come back for more of your libraries, the arcane one especially caught my eye ;)

Hi atemaarte! Awesome, thank you! It's fixed now :)

This sounds great! I get an error when I try to start it, though:

Not sure, how that happens - I'm on a current Firefox build, if that helps?

This is incredibly cute and the art is adorable :)! I just feel like the hoops are a bit too unforgiving if the timing of the jumps is not perfect. And somehow, the portrait of the pig seems to be transparent? But all in all very, very neat!
