This game's main mechanic of extending and retracting the little screw's head was pretty interesting. Cool way of interpretating your chosen theme. Not sure how much it benefits from being in a metroidvania though; I feel like it's possible that a simple level-based structure would make it easier to make interesting puzzles using the mechanic. Although, I suppose for the purposes of this jam submitting something that isn't a metroidvania wouldn't really make sense.
Interesting how the mechanics were taught mostly wordlessly, with only a couple button prompts and the level design to show you how to do things. The "tutorial" placement for the screw upgrade was done weirdly though, since the button prompt that tells you how to detach from the big screws is placed after you've already had to use it a few times. It actually got a chuckle out of me, since I had already backtracked and used the ability a bunch before seeing that prompt.
The head felt very slow to extend and retract, which is pretty annoying when you're trying to figure out puzzles or fail to make a jump.
"Area not in this demo, sorry :(" was funny, but it did feel a little odd to see in a jam game. I'd assume you're planning on developing this more? The puzzles here were pretty straightforward, so it would be cool to see them get more complex.
Overall, interesting game. Would like to see more.
